Average can be deceiving a bit when you have kickers committed. Just saying.

We know....we took a kicker last year and finished with 94.23 avg ranking. The kicker had an 83 rating.

I could see UGA and Bama finishing 1-2 nationally, and depending on class size, i would expect auburn to finish 5th or 6th i think A&M probably ends up in the 7-10 range, and MS State and FL to finish in the 10-12 range once Mullins decides to recruit

5. South Carolina- 89.02 with 15 commits (great job so far, think they get a nice bump if they land Phillips or Mccollough. Behind Auburn in average composite score, but again get the edge because of 6 more commits)

SC has a chance to finish Top 10 but, more than likely, we'll finish somewhere between 11-15. And that's fine given Boom's propensity to find sleepers and his ability to coach-up defensive guys.

Oddly, what I really like about this class so far is that it seems fairly balanced star and ratings-wise with an equal number of Os and Ds and it should finish that way looking at who is remaining on our board.

I dont see a top 2 finish for us this year, but obviously that can change in the next 6-8 months. Our class appears to be smaller this year, and barring a late flurry of 5 stars again I don’t think we will be nearly as top heavy as last year.

I don’t know about that. A&M is going to have a huge class. We have secerancuys i fully expect to get a ratings boost. We lead for a lot of 4* guys. Top 5 isn’t out of the question.

AM fans, how many are you guys going to sign? You already have 18 committed. Can you sign the full 28 this year?

If you have any "specialty" players, e.g., kickers, long snappers, etc., your average is affected in a ridiculous way.

Bama's average is 94.59, then they add the best place kicker in 10 years according to Chris Sailer and their average drops to 93.76.

Don't mean the average has no value, but it can be really distorted with certain players.

We are expecting a smallish class. Somewhere along the lines of 22-23.

What Bama and Georgia are doing is straight up terrifying. What's the highest average composite score in history for a class of 20+?

Word is they will try to, which would require a massive amount of trapdoors, so i think it will be more in the 23-25 range. I could see us finishing as high as 6 or 7 if guys get a big bump, but realistically, i would say it's more like 8-10.

I can’t contain myself when a hater like you is admiring our program so painfully. We sure have come a long ways in the past 20 years.

Nice Recap. The way I've looked at it, USC settles into the 14th-19th best class by the end of it. We have some solid recruits left to go, but I dont see us getting higher than 15th unless we land Crouch and Steele.

Gamecock fans have been thrilled about us being top 5 ish the last couple weeks, but we have had a lot of recruits commit early so its skewed. Definitely will be a fantastic class though. Pickens is gonna be a game changer.
