Like how they bent over backward to get OSU into the playoff?

I'm not buying it. I'm just not sure all his flakes are frosted.

weird to me. He left osu bc of lack of PT, so it would be odd for him to want to go to bama?
He just watched 4 WRs from Bama go in the high 1st round of the last 2 NFL drafts. What WR wouldn't want to come to Bama?

But how many of the 4*s players going to be starters? You telling me you have only one good receivers and this one you expected to get will also start for Alabama? If he was at Missouri he will be a starter right away and be very good. But I guess he wanted to be down in the pecking order just like he was at OSU!

Like how they played way less games than everyone?

Why do I have to always spell everything out for you guys?

Don't agree..... Alabama has one surefire bet to start before Williams, and that's metchie... He really had no chance for real playing time at OSU with Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. His starting spot is now Jaxon Smith-Njigba's.... and then there is also Julian Fleming, Marvin Harrison jr., and Emeka Egbuka. Not saying he wouldn't face stiff competition at Bama (he will) but c'mon, THAT'S RIDICULOUS. IMO, Mizzou would be the best option for him as he would start and play on a pretty darn good team.

Where do Alabama fans think he fits in a Bama?

Missouri fans are jumping on the bitter train saying he's "going to ride the bench their too" (he was a starter at OSU).((But they don't actually watch CFB, they only watch Mizzou, so knowledge is lacking a lot of times))

Where do you think he ends up next year, starting?

As our stretch the field threat - much like Henry Ruggs used to be. It's a pretty big piece of our offense that we actually lacked last season to a large extent once Waddle got hurt, we just made up for it in other ways and nobody was able to guard Smitty.

Starting is kind of relative, but assuming he comes in and is ready to play I'd be shocked if he wasn't in the WR rotation. We will have a lot of moving parts at WR next year - a bunch of freshmen/sophomores jockeying for PT to go along side Metchie. I think that we brought him in specifically for that stretch the field role.

Thanks for the info.

I don't know why they didn't throw him the ball more he had 2 td's on 9 catches, almost 200 yards.

It does seem an odd choice, but Saban must have made it clear that he was going to be firmly in the plans.

I’m jealous. He’s an absolute HR hitter, and I’m sure will be a playmaker.

I’ve moved on though, Jordan Johnson is in the portal now too and he was actually rated higher than Williams. Not as fast, but probably a better overall receiver. Maybe Drink can land him. We are a no 1 WR away from being VERY dangerous on offense.

His 247 comp was Keenan Allen. I’d take that all day and twice on Sunday versus a normal downfield speed burner.

Been a while since we've seen the bat signal. Be nice to get this one into the barn.

Although I was hoping he'd pick Mizzou I believe he will get more than his fair share of playing time @ Bama.

After looking at Eleven Warriors website I understand now why he transferred. Here is their (2) deep projected WR corps. It is unbelievable.

X.... Chris Olave > Marvin Harrison Jr.

Y.... Garrett Wilson > Julian Fleming

Slot.... Jaxon Smith-Njigba > Emeka Egbuka

The also have a couple more high 4* who I suspect will also transfer.

It would but he is not better than Jameson Williams right now, as a couple of people insinuated.

Taking this article at face value, he doesn't even necessarily seem ready to come in and play right away.

He was ranked higher. Neither really showed a ton on the field, but Williams did show more.

Johnson would definitely start, unless he’s hurt or something
