QB: B - Jacob Park He needs some work but he has the measurables. Solid recruit
RB: A+ - Sony Michel and Nick Chubb Yeah we gone go ahead and book that one as a homerun.
OL: A - - No big names but landed alot of guys that should fill depth and lots of big bodies. Dyshon Sims, Isaiah Wynn, Kendall Baker and Jake Edwards all have talent and could really push this class up. I think we had a great haul.
WR: B with potential for an A. We took a chance on alot of under the radar guys that are small but blazing fast. Isaiah Mckenzie is easily my favorite recruit in this class. Watch his videos. He is insanely fast. Rico and Gilbert are guys that probably need to redshirt but provide good depth.
TE: A+ - Love the 2 TE's we got. Hunter Atkinson and Jeb Blazevic will contribute early. Atkinson is huge and Jeb can catch passes like a boss.
DL: D , Our only guy needs to get in shape. I will place Lorenzo in the LB group even though he could end up on the DL.
LBs: A - Detric Dukes, Lorenzo Carter, Keyon Brown. Beast group. Keyon Brown and Carter have elite pass rushing skills. VERY HAPPY here.
DBs: B - Malkolm Parrish, Fenteng, Sanders, Shaq Jones are solid group. Parrish is the star of the group and the others have legit talent but I am not sold. We went after alot of solid guys and missed so we picked up Jones and Sanders who need work. Jones is probably the better of the 2 but Sanders provides versatility.

QB: A - Jacob Park was South Carolina's Mr Football. Other SC Mr. Footballs have been Marcus Lattimore and Jadeveon Clowney. He finished the Elite 11 qb camp as the highest rated. The only reason I don't grade this A+ is because we let Deshaun Watson slip away to Clemson. They took GA's best QB, and we took theirs. A+ would have been us getting both.
RB: A+ Signed the #1 RB from GA and the #1 RB from Florida.
OL: C Although we signed two solid 4 star guys, and another 3 star, we really needed another 1 or two guys on the line, considering how much we lose in the next two years. I know we didn't have alot of room this year, but for any grade higher than a C, I would have liked to see another 1 or 2 4-star guys in the class on the OL.
TE- A+ Jeb Blazevich is one of the best TE's in the country, he went to some Nike Camp during his recruitment and drilled with the Wide Receivers, and he actually won the Best Wide Receiver award, as a 6-5 230# tight end. Excellent speed and great hands. What gives this class the A+ in this position is the fact we took another 3 star TE for depth.... which is needed after losing Lynch to the NFL and Flournoy-Smith to weed/Saban.
DL: C Gaillard was a 5 star before he got a little chubby this year and was dropped to a high 4 star. He will be a great player. But for the same reasons tyler mentioned, needed more DL in this class.
Linebacker A+ for the same reasons Tyler said. Lorenzo Carter by himself gives it an A+. The other guys are just cherries on top.
DB (and WR)- C I think we have enough DB talents on the team already, young, lots of potential, with a limited sized class this year I would rather have only signed 2 or 3 DB's and picked up a few more big uglies on either line. Crazily, I'd rank this unit higher if we had taken fewer. Same goes for wide receivers, but to a lesser extent.

who is this #3 receiver i keep seeing referenced. I know dupre was 1, but your other WR commits are dj chark, a 3 star, trey quin, a 4 star #10 WR, and tony upchurch, another 3 star.

A&M scores high with impact players at every position besides safety
QB - A+.. Kyle Allen will give Kenny Hill a run for his money to replace Manziel
RB - F. Nixon wouldn't have qualified anyway, and we don't need any RB's right now, but didn't help ourselves here
OL - A. Two highly rated JUCO OL to plug immediate holes, and some excellent talent to supplement. Look for Koda Martin to play TE next fall, and then be a 3 year starter at OL
DT- A. Washington and Henderson were both standouts in the AA games
DE-A+. Myles Garrett and Cunningham will both be starts. Johnson on the strong side.
WR-A+. Speedy and Nacho to go with RSJ and last year's haul is almost criminal. RB's? We don't need any stinking RB's
DB- B- Harvey will star at corner, and Watts could be surprising here. Losing Collins to injury hurts, and no elite safety. Lost DSG when Yates screwed us at the 11th hour. Would have been an A with a good safety

Quarterback: A - Rafe Peavey was ranked a top 10 QB
Runningback: D - Only one signed and he was hurt nearly all of his senior season, but it wasn't a big need at all
Wide Receiver: B+ - We got everything we needed, a possession receiver(Cornelius), a tall receiver(Edwards) and fast slot receiver(Robinson)
Tight End: D - Jack Kraus signed, but he is more of a blocking TE, would have been higher had Pierce qualified
Offensive Line: A+ - signed four 4-star OL including the #2 OT in the country Brian Wallace
Defensive Line: B - Could end up higher depending on how Thibodeaux picks sometime this month,
Linebacker: C+ - Ended up with 3 LB'ers, but none with definite immediate impact abilities, which we needed.
Defensive Back: A- - Signed some MUCH needed help at DB, headlined by Henre' Toliver
Kicker: A+ - signed the best HS kicker in history, what else do I need to say?

Considering the losses of a couple highly ranked in state kids I give Les and staff a A-
Not complaining though, met some needs at positions.

I'm actually excited about Bama's kicking/punting situation moving forward
Not sure if JK Scott would've gotten a scholly if Adrian Lamonthe had walked on 1st, he walked on at the end of the Summer AFTER Scott committed
JK Scott can kick as well and Lamonthe is a JuCo with NFL level talent at P. Griffith will be solid at K with likely Scott as his backup

Since, with only a couple exceptions, everybody seems to think their entire class rates the Honor Roll, I'll do a few of our positions. I'm concerned about rating them too high or too low, but my criteria are essentially a mixture of "typical Vandy expectations" and "overall SEC-quality expectations." So take with a grain of salt. Going off confirmed LOIs...
QB: B This grade is based more on options and potential than on top-flight talent. I like Wade Freebeck and think he could actually be pretty good. He has very good mechanics and doesn't get easily rattled. He's probably our future QB from this class. Shaun Stankavage is from Cardinal Gibbons, which has a pretty decent track record in turning out football players. Not spectacular, but decent. That said, from what I've seen of Stankavage, he's okay. Not particularly excited about him, but we could definitely do worse. I'm not sure what to make of Ronald Monroe, or how the new staff will use him, but I suspect he'll be tested in various skill positions before they settle on one, which may or may not be QB. But probably won't be.
RB: C I might be going a little high here because Dallas Rivers isn't really a top RB prospect. He's more of a do-anything sort because of his athleticism. I like him, though, and he could prove to be a good yardage every-down back
WR: C+ This was a hard one. Caleb Scott is a baller, but he's not overly athletic. He's tall enough to snag lots of passes and has excellent instincts. I'm happy with him, as I am with Ladarius Wiley, who is wriggly enough to avoid tackles. I honestly don't know much about Rashad Canty, I admit
OL: B- A couple strong bodies here in Cole Hardin and Bruno Reagan (though I think Reagan will ultimately be better suited on defense.) I'm happy about the Bailey Granier pick up.
DE: B+ Nifae Lealao is obviously the crown jewel of this class overall. I mean, you can't go wrong with a Samoan tackling runners, right? Right? Stop laughing, Bama fans. Just...hush. Then we have a group of 3 stars and, unlike many people here, I'm actually going to admit I don't know much about them. But they do provide good depth after Lealao, who is probably the best recruit ever to sign with Vandy.
S: B+ We signed a solid group here, probably the best position recruiting in this class overall. I really like Emmanuel Smith. He's a bruiser of a safety. Not a ballhawk or a speedster, but he has nice skills and the mass to handle an SEC line-up. Trent Sherfield is pretty damned good too, and has great instincts in the open field. Tre Tarpley and Khari Blasingame round out the group and give it some solid quality depth.
CB: B I like our corners. Tre Herndon is going to surprise some people with his instincts, and Bryce Lewis is solid all around. I have no complaints in this area. We're going to have a pretty good secondary overall in a couple years.
Bet nobody thought anyone would do an in-depth personal analysis of Vandy's class.
