Shannon Hale scored 22 points in 17 minutes on Friday. He was 5-11 shooting and 11-14 from the FT. Read his twitter and it looks like he might be switching travel teams and might be playing for CP3. Hope he doesnt get too big.

Hale had 15 and this morning. Its crazy that when we first got him he was like a top 50 player then he fell off a bit and now its like he is playing the way we thought he would. Im just a little nervous about holding on to him.

I'm not worried. You'll see that grant is one of the best recruiters out there, amazing eye for talent.

I am the only schools that offered him are us and Tenn so far and if he keeps playing this there will be more to come. I just hope he signs in the early period.

This is a summary on BOL from a poster. It's the latest ESPN update on Pollard.

quote:

It says he has a school trip planned next week to Orlando? Leaving Sunday and not due to return until Thursday. They say no decision will be made until after he returns - and they even mention the signing period ending Wednesday? They give nothing else and say he's still deciding between the 4 we have all heard.

One thing is clear, he won't be taking that last shot.

Apparently the deadline doesn't matter. We might not find out until this summer. It's getting old though. I get the impression that he was 100% set on State until Stans got fired, and he has basically had 6 weeks to actually take the recruiting process seriously.

If he was set on state why wait that long?

State boosters are poor. Couldn't even pony up 180 grand for Cam. He was giving them a chance to get in a few extra bake sales and charity car washes.

I've never had a problem with the recruiting drama
surrounding the big time recruits in any sport, but at some point you need to draw a line. I'll be drawing my line Wednesday.

Its frustrating as hell but frankly we have no one else to move on to, at least as far as I know.

I also don't buy that Mizzou is out, although it seems like its mainly us and Texas. They could just cut somebody, they're in the SEC now.

I keep up with our basketball recruiting, but I don't follow it as closely as I do football recruiting. I see that Taylor is 6'10" and only 210 so he obviously needs to add a little weight, but is he someone like Jamereo Davidson? Would that be a fair comparison or is he more like someone else?

Calipari compared him to Anthony Davis on defense. His wt is normal and he's entering his senior yr.

That's a very good comparison IMO. He'll need to add muscle and become aggressive offensively. It's a great get though because he has unbelievable upside. I think Varnardo that played at MSU would be another good comparison.

Yea if I was you I would get Anthony Davis out of your head offensivley and on D. This kid can play but dont forget that Davis had been playing PG his whole life and probably playing basketball his whole life. Also on Pollard the reason that I say lets just move on is because I feel as though he wouldve been commited if he was coming here. Its like he trying to find a reason not to come here or something.
