How did he get fricked up by UGA? I thought they offered him like before his junior year cuz when we played him not this past summer but the summer before everybody was saying he was going to UGA

They kept telling him to hold off on committing and stringing him along and then they took another guard and stopped recruiting him then and there.

I've heard this guy is a shot blocking machine. State is also recruiting.

I seem to remember reading that he grew up a Bama fan. Hopefully we can get him. He looks like a good one.

As good as ours. Almost committed(may silently have) once already and is Erwin Dudley's cousin.

Yeah. He's Erwin Dudley's cousin and a Bama fan. He goes to a lot of our football and basketball games. He had a good summer and then absolutely tore it up at the latest Olympic training stuff. I think it was Bossi from Rivals that says if his offense continues to improve, he's 5* material.

I just wish he was a part of this class.

Is the Swede a scholarship player?
What are the chances we drop him and pick up an "extra" big guy in next years class?
He's been a big disappointment this year, IMO. Although better than last year

Yes he is on scholarship. We are having enough problems getting anyone to fill the few spots we have for this class without processing Engstrom. Plus that doesn't happen in bball. He's developing

Rick Stansbury is the KING of processing basketball players. We have oversigned the past 6 years and always make th numbers work out

Umm, OK.

I meant not to the level he is thinking. I'm sure players get cut, but there isn't a ton of it and transferring like in football. At least not at UA

It happens exponentially more in basketball, at least percentage-wise.

Gee, I wonder why?

Engstrom is here to stay. He's developing at his own pace and has gotten a lot better since last year. Hopefully next year he'll take the same jump and be able to score 5 points a game or so. He provides depth and we can't lose that.

What's crazy is that there's a center in the Montgomery area in 2014 class that's a 5 star prospect himself.

Hmm..I guess I haven't heard about him yet because I'm from Prattville. That would be potentially back to back years in 2013 and 2014 of landing high 4* or maybe even 5* talent big men assuming we land Jimmie Taylor.

Devonta Pollard is expected to be at the game Thursday night.
