Would have been nice if more people had shown up. It has to be hard recruiting kids to a basketball team, knowing there's going to be a half empty arena there when they come visit.

No you can't. Anderson and Cleveland have been "talking" to Jarnell Stokes since he was in JR high.

They were at the football game vs LSU, not the basketball game last night. I'm not sure if any recruits were at our basketball game last night or not. I thought I saw two kids with Central Tuscaloosa windsuits on but I could be wrong.

I heard Pollard and a 2014 teammate

Really sucks about DeOndre Hayes, I wonder if he got an offer or not

At least it was an outstanding showing for the team that def boosted our NCAA Tourney resume, because unless Oakland faceplants in their conference they will likely win and be in again this year

Green was aggressive and Lacey is starting to find his shot, this team was impressive tonight, let's hope we can carry the momentum down to Puerto Rico and dominate the way we did tonight holding an 85+ avg team last year returning all starters to 54 points

He was at the Mississippi State game Sat as well as the football game.

I feel as confident about Pollard as I did with Rodney Hood last year.

Stans usually gets who he wants from Mississippi, no doubt.

Plus his best friend and AAU teammate Gavin Ware is committed to State as well

Scout had an article saying Pollard's top five is MSU, Alabama, Texas, Georgetown, and Mizzou. No UK

I saw that Texas already has 6 commitments, kind of odd they are on the list. Georgetown has former MSU assistant Robert Kirby and signed Tyler Adams last year (who is riding the pine up there and I wouldn't be surprised if he transfers after this year).

I think its a MSU/Bama battle. FWIW

I don't have a Scout subscription, but apparently he said he dropped UK because if you don't get serious minutes as a freshman there, chances are you will be there for 4 or 5 years or have to transfer. I also read that the article suggested he is leaning towards Bama as of right now.

Any of that true?

I would love to get this kid. We need bigs more than another wing, but you can't turn down someone with as much talent as he has.

I think Pollard could play PF for us. I don't see where a C prospect is going to come in unless we catch someones attention late

I don't think it indicates we are a favorite, but like Bundy said, I think it's between us and MSU. I guess it'll come down to where he feels most comfortable and if MSU has a coach at the end of the year.

just like Rodney Hood was last year.

Stansbury can't coach but he can recruit Mississippi like there ain't no tomorrow.

He IS another Wing. He is a 3/4 combo but loves to play on the perimeter.

What in the world happened to Deondre Haynes?? I played against him and I thought for sure he was a top 3 player in the state for 2012. I mean Tennessee Tech, really?

Why would a potential one and done kid wanna go play for Stans?

Because he is a Mississippi kid. Starkville is an hour from his hometown and his mom can watch him play.

He was everyone's backup plan. He really got fricked by Georgia to be honest. I felt bad for him, but maybe he can go dominate competition in whatever conference Tennessee Tech is in.
