“I am still committed to Alabama. I am just looking at other schools to make sure I am the right fit for my future," Rogers said. “I am just going to take my official visits. I am still committed to Alabama but I want to see maybe if I just find a better fit. See if I find a team I can fit in better with. A better environment and see how the coaches are. I just want to see if I find a better fit or not.”
Somewhere Nick Saban's reading this and like: I didn't have time for that ****.

A better fit? Or a better NIL offer?

This is why I don’t take these commits seriously until they sign. And, yet in still many of them will transfer out after a season or two.

One of the few remaining commitments that had pledged to Saban’s staff prior to the coaching change. But actually fits the new offense better.
Hopefully he remains committed. But Alabama wants two RBs in the class regardless.

I don’t either. It is his future, not mine, but these kids do need to learn what a commitment is. That’s like me telling my wife that I still want to remain married, but I’d like to get to know some other females just in case I find one I like better, ya cool with that?

Recruiting is a hard, tough business. And the door keeps swinging both ways. When I see BAMA's numbers at 22 and we still are looking at so many 5 stars who have us as their favorite, it just makes you wonder which way the door is swinging. As soon as Justin Hill chose the Tide over his hometown team I immediately wondered, who was leaving. And here come 2 de-commits on time. Now we have big-time recruits crowding the other position players who came early.
Dawson Merritt and Justin Hill are 2 dynamic "Wolf" LBers and you wouldn't want to be the recruit coming behind them whether you are an early commit or not. At this point, let the games continue.
