A&M fans, any reasoning of not recruiting Carlos Strickland?

Does he not fit what you guys are looking for? I know you are recruiting chigbu. Do y'all think he gets an A&M offer down the road or no?

He is not 5'11, so his ability to strive in a spread offense is limited in their opinion. BTW Geaux Tigers

OP, I am not sure why- we do already have commits from highly ranked guys and lead for others. I guess the staff likes Chigbu more

I have wondered myself. I don't know if he was never interested in us or vice versa but I really don't recall anything about his recruitment.

A true freshman from pompano beach hindered Evans.
OP: it may just be a case of the kid having interest in other schools or the Ags having others higher (i.e. Kirk, lodge) so who knows. Would be a great pick up us tho.

I guess it's as simple as picking and choosing. Siverand, Lodge on board already, they were higher priorities than Strickland. We're after Christian Kirk too a better receiver who also holds us in high regard.
Receiver after last year's crop in 2014, we can just focus on getting top of the line guys which we've done so far. Ryan Newsome wanted to come here but he's just down the list a ways, and we've not even offered him. Newsome is a really solid 4-star receiver too. We were after Tyron Johnson but he cooled on us, and from my understanding there really isn't a huge push to win him back although he's said/tweeted he still likes us.
Strickland just falls in that black hole category where in most other years he's probably a hot commodity, just not this year.

Honestly with recruiting so many wide receivers over the last couple years their coaching staff is probably hand picking a specific mold of what they want, not a knock on Strickland, just better targets that fit their need

He's not a "good enough talent" to warrant a Texas A&M 2015 WR Class offer.
