If he wasn't running a lot in high school I might buy it but he is. He's going to need those legs more once he gets to college.
I agree he's not going to want to be used as a constant short yardage back like Cam or Tebow but you're crazy if you think he's not going to run plenty in college.

full press on Bailey
Way too many UGA fans think Bailey is a legit shot. He grew up a Gator fan, his mom *is* a Gator... I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's certainly improbable that we land him... I love what Fromm brings to the table, but would say that Fields will surpass him in pretty much every way if we are able to land him. You're right that it won't be "world ending", but I do think most UGA fans would be looking back in a few years much the way we do about Watson or Richt's desire to offer Tebow/Newton as TEs.

Well then that kid outta Arizona that is rated higher then Bailey. Florida might have the same issue we are having right now with Fields though. They are stacked deep at QB then if Corral balls out he is even farther down the depth chart. Kid might love Florida, but if he is gonna have to wait 2 or 3 years to get his shot he might go elsewhere.

Are there any really good 2019 QBs? I'm not saying that we won't get fields but just wondering about a plan B. Like I said earlier, it depends on our play during the season.

1 5 star, but you know how that is. A few kids that get their shot this fall will blow up.

The way UGA has recruited QBs recently why y'all not think UGA has a legit shot at everyone.
Still think Bailey is going to be a Gator but 2020 is a long time from now.

Hopefully Bo Nix, it would be my only consolation to not landing Fields.

I know it sounds weird, but the freshman out of Buford will be the best one to come through.

This.
Bo Nix is fuggin legit. He's also going to keep getting bigger and stronger. He could very well end up the best 2019 QB. Jimbo loves him.

Bo is the big consolation prize if we miss on Fields, although we have to fend off FSU for sure which wont be easy.

Instead of constantly fighting for QBs, why dont UGA/FSU/AU just switch off and each get our pick of the litter every third year?

Eff that... could maybe buy an alternate year approach with FSU, but AU can stick with their transfer QB approach. :) They've had enough success that way, lord knows they don't need a talented QB on campus for more than 2 years.

Fields was in Athens last night to watch the fight.

The good news for Auburn is we are guaranteed to get Bo Nix in the 2019 class if Fields goes somewhere else. He has already been offered scholarships by Auburn, Alabama , Ohio State, and FSU before his junior year started. He is also ranked as either the number one, two, or three quarterback on every recruiting site for 2019.
His father is a former Auburn quarterback. The only way he doesn't follow in his father's footsteps is if he gets scared off by Justin Fields

UGA gave a "preferred Walk-on" spot to Justin Fields top high school receiver.
Fields top recieving target in high school

JF has been tweeting that this guy is overlooked and needs a spot on college rosters so this is pretty big for us. Obviously JF wants his bud to play D1 level and what better way than at UGA together?
Posted on 8/29/17 at 8:30 am to jcolding41
So we could have Kearis and Patterson? Well, if Fields goes elsewhere it wasn't for a lack of trying

Do you think when it's so obvious you are only getting attention because of someone else it's insulting or are you just happy to be given the opportunity?
I'm pretty sure he's got a couple of smaller school d1 offers so I doubt he'd pay his way to UGA just to practice for 4 years but it's worth a shot on Kirby's part.
