I believe the current market is around $300,000, so if he goes to UGA, does that mean he was bought? His daddy shopping him around?
BTW: I predict he comes To AU.

Have you met our AD? He may be willing to pay $1,000 but he's too busy hoarding money.

I think it's a real possibility. Fields hasn't given either FSU, UGA or Auburn a reason to believe he won't end up on their campus. I do know this is going to be one of those recruiting stories we talk about 5-10 years down the road.

Family loves Athens though. I'm all in.
If we get beat, hopefully it's FSU.
Hopefully, he commits soon, and we hold off FSU.

I'd rather him at Auburn or UGA than FSU. Damnit man

I know the feeling. Going to be hard to root against him.
I've thought all three other teams were in it, and our main competition. Kid has a future in politics
All good news on y'all's end on Corral? Heard he was close, but not from any UGA folks.
Curious as to what y'all's chatter is.
Would seem he'd wait until after Georgia visit and know Fields was going to UGA. I just gather that from info on our sites. They've all been wrong before.
Most folks will be wrong on Fields and that's gonna be some fun melts regardless.

We've gotten a ton of good stuff on Corral. I was told (incorrectly, obviously) that he was committing to Florida last night.
I expect him to be in the class before long.

I appreciate you passing that along.
Hard to find unbiased info on your own team, much less a rival, without getting in a pissing match on hypotheticals.

I dont think anyone has a clue where he is going to end up. And where ever he signs, it will be a surprise to everyone

I feel confident it is not UF now.

I am hoping it is Auburn.

Just heard on 680 that Fields' dad wants him to play baseball too. Who of his top 5 schools had the latest high profile QB that played both football and baseball?
Answer: Jameis Winston. Jimbo allows his players to do both sports.
I just have a hunch that FSU is checking a lot of boxes. Although Justin isnt sure a out the baseball side himself. Francois will only play another year maybe 2 when Fields reports to campus so it seems the chance to play lines up really well. Jimbo shines with dual threat QB's and playing baseball for FSU is pretty good. Much better baseball program than UGA and Auburn.
Auburn would seem to be a good situation as well. Gus is good will dual threat QBs. Question is does he allow players to play other sports? (assuming Justin does decide to play baseball too)
I just cant see UGA as the strongest option. Chaney cant develop anything other than an appetite. Not sure about Kirby allowing dual sport players. 680 said they didnt think he does. Depth is deep at UGA at QB.
This is an interesting recruit to watch from an outsiders perspective. Looks like there is a lot of feelings involved by interested parties in here so I thought an outsiders perspective may be a nice addition.
All feelings out of it I think it is FSU, Auburn, UGA, Penn, Bama in that order. FSU and Auburn are really close IMO though and it may come down to the ability to play both football and baseball. In which case Jameis isnt a bad athlete to follow (off the field issues aside). I think it is FSU in the end. This QB is right up Jimbo's alley. Easier path to national championship too IMO with no Saban in the way.

He said his dad wants him keep playing baseball so as to not burn any bridges in case he has a better pro future there, but he said that he's not sure if he will because football is his true passion and where his real focus is.
He said him playing baseball depends on the depth chart situation at whatever school he goes to. Basically he said that to win a starting QB job you have to be 100% focused on football and go all through spring, so if he does play baseball in college it might not be until his second or third year, after he is already the established starting QB, "just to kind of keep my skills up."
He also talked about how the depth chart at the school he chooses could affect whether he enrolls early or stays in HS to play his senior year of baseball. So he might not even finish HS baseball, let alone decide his college based on playing baseball there.
He said if he went to AU or FSU he could see Stidham or Francois potentially going pro after this season, in which case he would enroll early and go through spring to tryand battle for the starting job as a true freshmen. But at UGA he said it kind of depends on how Eason does this year. I guess he means if Eason is lights out and entrenched himself as the starter for 2018, then Fields would say frick it and enjoy the rest of his senior year of HS. But if Eason was still hit or miss like last year and Fields chooses UGA then he may still enroll early and battle it out.

Pretty much all of this is accurate per that interview. Sounds to me like unless he just wakes up and feels good about it, this thing may last into the season as he is keeping a close eye on what each team and each teams QBs are doing
