I'm cool with Americus, it's the 95% of Georgia posters that give the rest of you a bad name

And you seem very invested in a Georgia-Auburn battle

Not triggered. Dude may be a great guy or whatever (never heard of him until now in any specific manner, though I I've seen the username around before).

I'm just pointing out that a fan who predicts their team is getting a lot of top guys in a cycle where their team has a lot of momentum and does in fact get all (or almost all) of their top guys could just be an optimistic fan that happened to be right at the time.

He also knows where guys are going to other teams. He’s plugged into GA high school. Sorry AU fans.

Sorry, but you guys are going to get the leftovers we leave behind. The state of Georgia is on lockdown.

Cool? I’m a Bama fan. We recruit nationally if you haven’t noticed.

I didn't say Pappoe was a Tiger. I was quoting someone else who said that.

I said he seems to be trending that way. Just from what I am hearing. I hope I am wrong, though.

I’ve seen Americus’ name discussed as an insider so don’t doubt that.

Americus is always very careful to say he is not an insider. He has connections who are insiders, and I have never seen him be wrong. Doesn't mean he can't miss, but he has been very scary correct in the past.

Last season he and I disagreed on a couple of recruits and he was right on both and I was wrong. We disagree on Pappoe, so that actually gives me hope he is right again.

All that said, whichever school he picks will have to fight to keep him right up until signing day, and whoever ends up with him will have a very solid LB.

So unless the dude has shown SPECIFIC insights later proven to be true and not just predicting UGA would sign their top targets last year I'm not impressed.

He was saying we would get Quay when everybody was saying Tenn. he also said Bush and Tyson Campbell when we all thought we would not get them.

It does seem that he was saying Otis Reese was headed elsewhere, though, but I might be wrong on that one.

In all seriousness though, it does look like it's Auburn. Even Rusty's saying that now.

As I said earlier, good get, Aubies

I'm still not buying anything until he commits. This is what I want to know though - I understand OP will still be recruited hard by other teams after his commitment, so its still a battle, but what makes the majority of UGA fans so confident that he'll ultimately sign with UGA (assuming that's not the pick tomorrow)? Just because Kirby and last year's success? Is this an inside troll job to make a splash on signing day? Why is confidence so high in that scenario?

Yeah, give credit to Auburn. They did a good job recruiting OP. While I don’t think it’s over, it’s a lot easier to recruit a kid who is committed.

I refuse to buy into these comments. Perhaps just PTSD from Reuben Foster, Rashaan Evans, Shaun Dion-Hamilton, Markhail Benton

Overall the biggest reason is optimism based on what Kirby did last year...nothing specific to OP other than the fact that he seemed like a possibility to commit to us a month or two ago.

It just seems like an instate kid who will probably be close with a lot of good players who choose to stay home and play for UGA...there is going to be a natural pull for him to stay, even before you consider Kirby's recruiting.

Personally, I think he commits tomorrow and sticks it out. He's a leader and therefore doesn't seem as likely to go with the flow if certain recruits choose Georgia in the next 8 months.
