He will have to put on a good amount of quality weight to get kicked inside. He played against good competition last year (Roswell, Carrollton, Milton) and there were 3 and 4 stars all over the field. He just seemed to blend in, but there were really good players - that Jacobs kid from Milton was a monster - everywhere.

I hope he tears up the competition this year. Only helps my Red Elephants.

How was an offensive lineman "everywhere" in a high school football game?

And Georgia is the new Clemson.

And for the record DeBoer vs Smart 1-0

Milton had (7) 3 star and (four) 4 star players on their roster last season. Gainesville had Xavier Griffin, plus a few other 3 star players. There were 3&4 star players everywhere and the OT Jacobs kid is a 6'-6"/6'7" OL that was hard to miss.

Do you follow college football?

Most 1st year coaches struggle at times during the year

Kirby lost 5 games his first season. Richt left him with a loaded roster as well so it wasn't a talent issue

And just like Alabama all were watching someone else play for a NC and hoist the trophy. Making the playoffs now is just like going to a bowl game prior to the expansion of the playoffs. Another year with a few contenders and now as you pointed out more pretenders with those three.

With Alabama's recent 15-year dominance, we'll always be in the conversation, so get used to it. Your two national titles in forty years are starting to get some years after them, with no signs of returning to that dominance. I'll put money on Alabama winning another title before UGA does.

Typical response from a UGA fan who knows they have nothing of substance to come back with. The truth hurts, doesn't it?

How will Bama fans feel if DeBoer doesn’t “make a bowl” for the second year in a row?

Will still be an Alabama fan and that will not change. I have followed the program through all the ups and downs from Bear to DeBoer.

The real question is how UGA fans will feel when you hit another 40-year drought for a NC?

Of course. That does not mean that the success of the football program will not change though. Bless your heart if you believe that.

It may or may not, but time will tell. I understand for LSU and other SEC fans they hope UA will never be a contender again but again as a UA fan we will have our ups and down. Saban was an exception to the rule, but I am realistic to know that and will be along for the ride no matter what.

The difference here is puppy fans assume Smart is the next Saban and they fail to realize they had a good run, and they will never be a dynasty. Not that their run was not a great one which many programs would love to have but still just a run just like Clemson.

You seem to fail to realize that the Dawg fans you’re arguing with were trolling you.

Wrong, just because a team doesn't win a NC every year doesn't negate that the season was part of a period of dominance. So you can go sell that BS somewhere else. That's never how college football eras have been determined. Nick and Bama was dominant from 2009 through 2024. Winning over 85% of games through a 15 year period is dominant. There's just no two ways about it.

We were the entire year all the way up to the selection. That's being a part of the conversation. Try again.
