SEC - 18
ACC - 7
BIG10 - 1
BIG12 - 1
PAC12 - 7

It's obvious that the result of the 2014 season didn't weight heavily on top ranked recruits (SEC not winning the National Championship), but I wonder how or if it will affect the SEC going forward...

SEC remains the alpha in recruiting, by far.

Without looking I'm guessing FSU and Clemson account for all the 5*s in the ACC.

Mostly 3 star players.

I think Dont'a Hightower is the highest rated player on either teams starting roster.

Honestly, I think the Pac 12 recruits in general are underrated in high school.

I don't think people realize how many more 3 stars there are.. and only a handful of 5 stars

True

5 star recruits make up a good chunk of the first two rounds ;however, they make up < 10% of the draft every year.

You probably should not even rate running backs or QBs 5 star prospects considering their failure rate in the NFL.

Agreed. The only QB I would have put as a 5* in the past few years is Luck.
