Trey Sanders might be a dawg, but isn't Saban going in home soon? If he has not been yet, and he is still going, then nothing is set in stone yet. He has a track record of being the best closer in history, so it would not be a shock even if Sanders has told someone he is going to Texas or UGA, for him to change his mind. Predicting what 18 year old kids are going to do is not to easy.

Saban done visited him at school yesterday. Counts as in home from what I've seen. I could be wrong on that, TideSaint is that considered an in home?

Trey Sanders might be a dawg

Everything right now seems to indicate this, but I'm still not holding my breath. If we land him after just recently jumping in on him after losing Emery, it's a minor miracle by Kirby.

Saban visited Trey at school and then visited his parents in Port St. Joe afterwards. IMG kids don't live with their parents, but coaches can visit them as long as it is within the same day.

We didn’t really just jump on him, we’ve been recruiting him for some time. It’s just that things died down when Emery committed and Sanders was thought to be Bama bound for so long that nobody really paid much mind to Dell McGee keeping in touch. Kirby is the HC so he gets some credit but if we land Sanders, you can thank McGee and Nolan Smith in particular.

That’s my understanding; basically you get a 24 hour period to meet with a recruit and their family face to face. Location doesn’t really matter, just the in person meeting can’t extend beyond a certain time frame.

Nolan Smith in particular.

Our second best recruiter this year, no doubt.

Nah, they can read the hot takes and inside info here

I'm not here to troll, and I hope nobody else is, either. But are you of the opinion that no Alabama posters have posted "hot takes and inside information" on here?

Yes, there are some over confident Georgia fans predicting unrealistic things, but at the same time there are some Alabama fans who feel overconfident, too.

And, in the Georgia fans defense, I have not seen them post anything that I have not seen from supposed "insiders". I have seen that:

Dean is leaning toward Georgia.
Sanders is beginning to trend towards Georgia.
We have made some inroads with Neal.

Now, that doesn't mean we will get any of them, or all of them.

My personal opinion (Which means absolutely nothing) is we will get Dean and maybe even Sanders. I have huge doubts about Neal, though.

I do not have strong feelings about any of the three, though. Just small gut feelings.

People from both fan bases are only posting what they are reading or hearing. isn't that the purpose of the recruiting board? That said, I agree with TideSaint....nobody should feel overly confident about any of the recruits at this point.

Nolan Smith has been instrumental in our class this year. I'm sure a story will come out after NSD on what he did for us. He is like Justin Fields from last year.

It’s always nice having the #1 player in the nation (depending on the site) recruiting for you

There’s a reason Georgia and Alabama fans feel confident, and it has something to do with the recruiting success in recent memory. Goergia’s is really just over the last year, maybe two. Alabama’s almost had 10 great seasons in a row.

I can understand why both teams feel very confident when trying to get players they make a priority, especially at a position of need.

How dumb is Fields going to feel when he winds up transferring because Fromm is blocking his PT and he recruited all those kids to come to UGA?

He's sitting for one more year, like he would have to if he transferred, then taking over after Fromm leaves early for the draft. Take a look at the latest NFL scouting reports. They have Fromm as a top 10 pick in the 2020 draft.

I understand why, and where it is coming from. I am mainly talking about people who sound as if they "know" a recruit is going to be in their class.

If nothing else, they should take note that all of the "insiders" are saying basically the same thing with their team being in the lead.

I mean, the recruits can't be leaning and trending to 2-3 teams at the same time. That tells me that the "insiders" are making a lot of guesses. That said....somebody is right. Chances are the kids are leaning/trending somewhere. I am just saying when we see so much contradicting information there is a good chance the "insiders" don't really have any solid information.

I don't know. if he does transfer then he will probably feel pretty much like Jalen Hurts does. Just a guess.

Do you know something? because we haven't heard anything about Fields transferring. or are you just trolling?
