assassin went on a bunch of tie raids and called people retarded cause apparently every state in the Southeast US other than MS is a bastion for culture and money. He also is really bitter about being semidecent at baseball... He was taken in the 1187th round of the draft out of HS but he chose to attend a directional school cause he had no SEC offers... Barring some entire AA and AAA rosters coming down with the bubonic plague it's looking like he's gonna have to do something else besides the dishes at his host families' house really soon.

That's the funniest shite I've read on here in a long time.

directional school??? I said I didn't sign to go to a top university like LSU UNC Vanderbilt. I don't know if you've noticed but kids get drafted high from universities you've probably never heard of in baseball. On top of community colleges and juco's.

Also, there is limited scholarships for the D1 schools so some kids get more money from smaller universities. Its not like football where everyone is offering the same.

But wait, aren't you saying that there is no reason why a top level recruit would not choose only a top level school such as Bama, USCw or OSU? Now I am confused.

Just so you know they are not now offering the same....guess you don't keep up with current events do you.

I just realized we are getting officials from 9 position leaders... I'm impressed. My pants just got tight.

We're throwing money all over the place.

ETA: Meh, I counted ATH as a position

wtf are you talking about. In football there are no half scholarships, only full. Baseball gets like 11.7 scholarships per team. It may have changed since I went through the recruiting process. Some schools now offer 4 year scholarships for football. Maybe thats what you're talking about.

No shite you dumbass snot nosed brat. Listen I have put up with your pompous arse enough. If you are too fricking stupid to see that you are talking out of both sides of your mouth I can't help you. It doesn't matter if you play football, baseball, rhythmic fricking gymnastics or water polo...the kid has his decision on why he wants to go where he wants to go....not every fricking top level recruit only wants to go to your God for fricking saken Bama....maybe he wants to come to Ole Miss and extend the streak to 5 games straight you dumb cocksucker....

Have I clearly explained that for you or do your require a special needs translator?

This guy still hasn't figured out how to reply or quote or anything...

Why are people still talking to him?

Also... What kind of recruitment happens below D1 Baseball? After that, isn't it pretty much,"Hey, wanna play baseball and go to school for free?" "Yes, thank you."

HAHAHA what did i say to provoke this??? i fully understand the scholarship concept for both baseball and football. The difference in football and what makes schools different is what besides the full education scholarship they can provide.

Facilities, coaches, campus etc that comes into play more in football then in baseball. A lot of times in baseball kids will go to the school that will offer them the most scholarship. For example a kid going to Vanderbilt will be paying 20-30 grand if they are on half scholarship. So some kids in that situation may end up at other places because their family does not want to pay that much money. It doesn't come down to facilities and coaches as much as it does with $$$$$.

Make sense?

So this brings us back to our original topic- What top 10 prospect not from MS with no ties would go there? MS doesn't offer anything that Texas, Stanford, USC, Alabama, LSU can. They have no football tradition on top of that.

So like past posts please just keep telling me that I'm wrong and that I'm retarded etc. But deep down you know I'm right.

Take Alabama as the example. What does Ole Miss offer that Alabama doesn't have better. Just give me something.

Playing time and hotter women are the only selling points that out weigh what Alabama can offer.

To the Arkansas fan above, Juco and Community Colleges recruit like crazy. They have scholarships as well and getting on some of the top teams is extremely competitive. There not just offering kids off the street. Those coaches are trying to make names for themselves to hopefully move up the ranks just like the kids.

You just gave the answer to your own damn question. Ole miss can offer immediate playing time to a kid that wants to start at left tackle for 3 years and go pro. Yes Alabama is great, we all know this, we also know it will end at some point. USC and Florida fans can tell you it can fall apart quickly. Before saban got there bama was nothing special for 10+ years. also, maybe he wants to go to a school and do something special. At bama he is just another guy. I've lost track of where all this argument came from, but did you go to bama or play baseball at a small school? If you did not go to bama, just quit talking.

How many kids come in, start from day 1, and leave early and go in the first round???? Very very few. Im sure playing is the selling point. But then again he could do that at A&M or texas.

Your missing the point. Yes, Alabama's run will end someday. But Alabama like other schools have been historically good for periods of the last 80 years. OLE MISS HAS NEVER BEEN GOOD AT FOOTBALL. That is the point I've stated and trying to make. They've never been good, have mediocre facilities, shitty stadium, average campus, average SEC coaching staff. Whats the sell???????

So like I've been saying besides playing time, there is no reason for him to be considering Ole Miss.

Oh and I did graduate from Alabama. I signed to go to another university but never attended. I ended up doing 3/4ths of my degree online and spent one offseason in tuscaloosa.

Im from a place far away but have been going to tuscaloosa all my life. Been a fan my entire life as well, through the good years and the bad. 5 people in my family have graduated from the university of Alabama.

No it does not. If you've spent less time at a school than a calipari recruit does at his, you do not qualify as having an association with the school.
