HUGE get. VOLS back in contention for next season. I don't remember the last time we attracted this much elite talent. Will be the 3rd straight season of a one and done if Julian meets expectations

VOLS with the #2 roster in the nation per Torvik and 3 scholarships still to play with.
Sounds like we have offered high 6 figures (nearly 7) to Tyrese Hunter. A PG to split time with Zeigler is easily the biggest need.
Barnes getting cold feet on Yuri due to tampering fears is annoying.

What happened?
He never was. They never led. TN was in his top 3 before he picked LSU originally. Auburn only came into the picture at the last moment so they had too much to overcome.

Lol. Phillips is good and actually has a motor and works hard. Can't say the same for BHH. He would've been a 1 and done talent if he actually applied himself.

Can’t wait to snag him in the portal next year after Barnes inevitably tanks his stock like all the other 5* casualties.
Nah in reality it’s a nice get for the Vols. They did what they needed to do to get him. Hoping we are able to snag a guy like Mayer from the portal to round out the class.

Vols were desperate to sign a 5-star recruit, esp after losing BHH to Louisville. They had the #70 recruiting class in the nation two days ago. He is good but not Jabari-level good.

This isn’t football recruiting. Having the 70th ranked class in the country means nothing if you bring in consistently good classes every other year. Even more so with the portal which still hasn’t even settled yet.
BHH doesn’t play the same position either. Phillips will take a lot of JJJ’s minutes at the 3 and JJJ will play more 4. BHH may have been a 5 star in high school but his production was that of a 3 star. Guy couldn’t stay on the court when he was fighting for minutes against a crippled Fulkerson, Uros Plavsic (lol), injured/mono freshman Aidoo, and Nkamhoua. One of the weakest front courts in the conference.
