Alabama recruit named national player of the year

Dylan Moses has been playing with high expectations for years. It happens when you're getting scholarship offers in middle school and getting ESPN Magazine covers as a high school freshman. Add another such honor for the Alabama recruit.

Moses was named Parade Magazine national player of the year for the 2017 signing class. The Baton Rouge product is already enrolled in Tuscaloosa in advance of next Wednesday's National Signing Day.

Moses is one of three Alabama early enrollees to make Parade's first-team high school All-American list. Running back Najee Harris and offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood also made the cut for the team that'll appear in the Feb. 5 issue of Parade Magazine. Athlete Jaylond Adams of Minor High School also made the first-team offense.

The magazine will feature a three-page spread on Moses with the linebacker appearing on the cover. He is currently ranked No. 13 in 247Sports' composite of national recruiting rankings. Harris is the highest-rated player on that list at No. 3. Harris is No. 1 in Rivals ranking with Moses checking in at No. 32.

Moses, Harris and Leatherwood are among the 12 Alabama freshmen who enrolled a semester early to participate in spring practice. They will make it official next Wednesday on National Signing Day.

Alabama currently has the No. 1 class in all major recruiting services.

Absolute stud.

Best defensive prospect to come out in years.

Beast.

Great character.

Leader of men.

Intelligent.

Honest.

I could go on for days.

You're right.

But I'm sure you'd say the same thing if he was an LSU commit and won the award. You're usually fair and unbiased

Weird that LSU would pass on a guy like that...

I challenge you to refute it.

Hurting your feelings doesn't count as evidence.

Good luck.

Isn't that strange that LSU would pass on him? But their fans have told me they're going to land far better linebackers than him, and I believe them.

After all, there was this one rep that he lost at the UAAA practice. I mean, what player loses a rep?

I'm just impressed that Moses isn't scared of competition. Look at all the 5 star linebackers On Bama's roster. He could have gone to school anywhere, and more than likely be the starter as a freshman, but he wants to win championships and get developed by the Bama coaches.

I'm glad you asked.

-He is the record holder of most tackles in the UA-AA Game.
-He is the #13 player in the country. Had he stayed in Louisiana, he would be ranked as the top Louisiana recruit.
-He is the recipient of the Butkus award for best high school linebacker.

Self admittedly trolling on the recruiting board

Oh I absolutely believe 90% of what I said about him to be correct. Only 10% is trolling.

He's not the best defensive player to come out in years. Chris Allen is.

I am proud of the accomplishments of someone who signed with my university. I didn't realize that I shouldn't be.
