It very well could be. I think he’s a great first down pass rusher and solid linebacker play can help make up for his issues in defending against the run.
If LSU actually does have money flowing out of its ears, then it’s a solid pickup for y’all. We just can’t justify spending that much money on someone who seems to be a situational defender.

I’ll still answer the questions. Sure….it sucks we aren’t keeping him. The problem is he is just not the overall player that LSU is paying him to be. If yall are able to pay that much for a pass rusher, then good for LSU. He can be very disruptive in the backfield. We chose to take that money and portal in guys we feel are more balanced.
We had a major problem stopping the run and it constantly put us in 2nd or 3rd and short. We certainly wish him the best with the exception of one game next year.

Yeah the NCAA being stubborn as shite for years led to this. It would have likely all be avoided(or at least delayed for a while) had they agreed to up the stipends of players back in the 2010’s.

Nah your staff probably just feels great about replacing their sack leader in the portal with three guys who combined for 2 less sacks last year.
