Better than Higgins, Henderson, Bridges, & Whittingham. In the conversation with Wilson & Wease.

From what I’ve heard, don’t be surprised to see Wilson look hard at A&M if he does make a move away from Ohio State.
If Meyer stays, which as of today all signs point to, I don't see that happening. It's months away of course and as anyone who follows CFB has seen, recruiting is nuts annually

Do you think he should stay?

From what I know right now, yes. Based on word going around inside of the facilities, he has a long paper trail of everything (including the 2015 issue) and people are saying that when/if it all comes out, it will improve people's image of Meyer. I'm not sure I believe that, since I think he is shady, but I also believe all the coaches are.
I think he gets a 2 game slap on the wrist suspension, which he donates to a domestic abuse charity. This was a witch hunt from the beginning based on how successful Urban has been; if it had been Saban it would have been a similar circling by the media to destroy an image. Meyer gets clicks, while someone from a smaller school doesn't

If the accusations of domestic abuse are real, why do you think he kept his coach? Loyalty?

Maybe he didn't believe the accusations?

Some of it is for sure who Smith was related to (Earle Bruce) and his history at OSU. He was also a great recruiter so he had positive aspects
Edit: also, it's something that has been blown up all over the MSB, but how far should Meyer get involved into DV "allegations" that were never proven by police to hold water over the last decade. Yes, there were issues and Meyer clearly knew life wasn't perfect for that couple, but my boss told me this week that if he knew i had DV issues he couldn't do anything about it. Obviously it being a university is different but it's more the above to me (the witch hunt) than real information at this point

Bit off topic, 2020 DB Mickens. Someone was blasting Hollins in this topic earlier about his CBs. A&M seems to have the other 2 CBs for this guy, aside from Hollins putting one in for OSU. What's the early read if you know?

Mickens is a big time legacy for us but he’s definitely looking at all his options. It doesn’t seem like he’s that close to making a decision. OU has also been mentioned as a contender

he is a mega legacy for A&M so people have assumed that he will end up at A&M. and theres a pretty good chance he will, but its hard to really tell what hes thinking considering its so early. but he definitely seems open to all of his options and he could very well end up elsewhere
eta: pretty much what shane said. a lot of early assumptions that he will end up with us just because and that does not seem to be the case

We probably have a better shot at McGlothen than Mickens. Jimbo might be able to get eat back.

Its obviously crazy early, but it seems like it would be surprising if we miss on mcglothern. Who knows with mickens. There's still so much time left but he really does seem to be looking out of state
