The only thing I think appealing to Drake Davis is the fact that the roster isn't as stacked at LSU as it is for Ole Miss right now at receiver
Are you fricking joking? We dont have a senior WR on the roster (only 1 junior) and have a ton of talent.
FR. Tyron Johnson - 5 star #5 WR in country
FR. Derrick Dillion - 4 star #21 WR in country
FR. Jazz Ferguson - 4 star #36 WR in country
SO. Malachi Dupre - 5 star #2 WR in country
SO. Trey Quinn - 4 star #10 WR in country
SO. John Diarse - 4 star #25 Wr in country
In case you lost count at this point, that's 4 4-star and 2 5-star WRs that aren't even a senior or junior this year of which 5 of those were Top 25 WRs in the country coming out of high school. Not to mention we already have Dee Anderson, another 4-star and #16 WR in the country committed for 2016.
So yeah, clearly a walk in the park to come in as a freshman and start here compared to Ole Miss

Also regardless of where he goes he will see time in some capacity.
But his mind, arrogance, and attitude can and will always hurt him from ever reaching his full potential.

Well that is just a phenomenal recruiting job. Considering all that talent and LSU still only managed 73 Yards passing vs MS state.
If you spread it around, that's enough for roughly 9 yards a guy per game, including Anderson and Drake.

^ this has to smart just a bit. I wonder if these stud WRs are second guessing why they went with such a high powered passing offense right about now....and every WR recruit will be hearing this as well. Especially since USM had just put up over 300 yards passing against that same defense....let that sink in for a second....USM passed for 4 times as many yards against the same team

Wherever he ends up, this kid is going to be a stud in some way. When you look at his raw tools, he might have has much potential as any hs receiver in the country. Obviously that doesn't mean much if you don't produce, but whoever gets this kid has a lot to work with and whether it's Ole Miss or LSU, I hope he reaches his potential because he could be special. If Ole Miss pulls Davis, I wonder if it helps with Natua. Seems like Georgia has a huge lead for him, but hopefully Shea is in his ear.

Keep making conclusions after 1 game, but LSU sends WRs to the NFL (A LOT more than Ole Miss does).
Even ones that dont even catch a pass the whole season prior:

So seems like they want to come here to get to the NFL.

That's not saying much we haven't been that talented. Now we have comparable talent to anyone at WR including the tigers.

I'm not so sure of that. He's a great athlete, but that's it. He doesn't know how to run routes. His hands can best be described as mediocre. He doesnt know how to catch the football (uses body). He also has very questionable dedication to the game (quit football a year ago). He also has transferred to about every high school he possibly could.
So there are a lot of red flags. The guy is a project (but with all the physical tools), and will take a lot of (constant) attention to harness his ability into being a productive college WR wherever he goes.

I'm not saying Ole Miss doesnt have talent but to make fun of LSU at WR or slight us there is like slighting Ole Miss' defense talent wise for comparison sake.

Why do we continue to bring in top WR or continually put them into the NFL, in spite of our said offensive woes?
As long as the state of Louisiana keeps producing as many naturally talented receivers as it does, and a majority of them are swayed more by state loyalty than by a desire to be in a dynamic passing offense, y'all should be fine.

More dynamic? Do you guys even run NFL route trees or teach the WRs how to block?
Just because teams put up video game numbers in the passing game doesnt make QBs and WRs more prepared for the NFL, in many cases, less prepared for the NFL.

This is one of the dumbest things I've read regarding Ole Miss. Donte Moncrief and Treadwell are two of the best blocking receivers the SEC has had. Quincy needs to improve, but Grant Heard has our receivers blocking better than any other coach we've had.

When you run for damn near 300 yards sometimes you don't have to pass as much. And on top of this we had a 90 yard reverse called back.
Honestly at this current moment in time I would not play wide receiver at LSU, but the intrigue is there with Brandon Harris and his progression. He beat a top 25 SEC team on the road for his second ever start. Regardless of his stat line in my mind I look at the fact that he actually completed over 50 percent of his passes as a step in the right direction given our QB play last year.
Recruits are probably watching this and are curious as to what the next game may look like when he has the comforts of home field and a turnover friendly Auburn.

Speedy, Coach Sumlin wants to know why you're not at practice.

We led the nation in defense. Did yall lead the nation in receiving yards? Wtf are you talking about? You're making our argument easier. So you have all this talent that doesn't get utilized because Les is terrible at QB play. Great selling point

Once again, receiving yards is not equivalent to talent. If it is, congrats to Texas Tech the most talented passing team year in and year out

Cody Core's blocking ability is vastly underrated but that's mainly because Treadwell and String are two of the better blocking WRs in the conference... Not to mention Engram's ability to engage a defender in space and hold his block.
