4 star RB for the horns entering transfer portal, as reported by Bobby Burton.
From the 2022 recruiting class, this player has 3 years of eligibility remaining, and had offers from A&M, Ohio St, Bama.

Hmmm . . he was a pretty coveted recruit.
I suppose with Jonathon Brooks getting the backup carries and Ced Baxter on the way he went looking for a better setup.

He'll be good for someone, but between Owens, Daniels, and Moss, I think we're good. Doubt he'd want to go somewhere with two 4-stars with lots of eligibility and a freshman 5-star already on the roster.

One of these is not like the others but good try attempting to slip yourselves in there.

With Achane, our last 3 starting RBs are about to be in the NFL.

I understand that A&M would be INTERESTED in this player, but there were far more than just 3 schools that offered this guy.
He had offers from Georgia, Michigan, Ohio St., Alabama, and a ton of other schools.

That’s Interesting…because it was the Inside Texas guys that reported him going to the portal.

We won’t go after Blue, but that kid was the Number 1 RB in the nation until he decided to opt out his senior year of high school and fell in the rankings. He would be a hell of a pick up for an SEC school

Oh, he’s the guy that opted out of senior year? I had forgotten about that…

Yeah, but you tried to imply that TAMU wasn't like Bama or OSU. Sure, we'd be interested, but he wouldn't be interested in us because of the competition he'd face to get playing time. Daniels and Moss are pretty solid and Owens has the vision, wiggle, and burst of Achane even if he lacks the top-end speed. Blue is going to want to go somewhere that he's virtually guaranteed to be the feature back. It'd be a dogfight for carries at A&M.

We already have 3 back with the same potential as Blue. LSU should consider this kid

Is he the kid that decided to sit out his senior year in high school, or something like that?

With your record, you still aren’t on the level of Bama and Ohio State. Like the poster said, “nice try”.

Don't come here to troll. No one said that and it is just a discussion derail to try and shift the conversation that way.
The large Texas state schools get close looks from the best in state backs every cycle for obvious reasons. That shouldn't be a big surprise to anyone except some of the permanent S#$t-talkers that clutter up this board.

Yeah, that was a major red flag. If you don't like football enough to play for your high school, how much are you going to want to play in college?
That being said, he was highly rated and would be worth a flier for someone with three years of eligibility left.

There were plenty of rumors he did so to avoid being kicked off his high school team. He was supposedly fighting in the locker room and had lots of run ins with his coaches.
This was per the various insiders in the Texas recruiting sites.

These kids care far more about going to the NFL than they do their college team's record.

Got you, I had not read that. Makes some sense.

Sure, but opt-out risk management has to be a thing nowadays…
