seeing is believing. Let's see a couple of Top 5 classes and then we will shed the "Mullen can't recruit" label. We know Bama/Saban can recruit. We know UGA/Kirby can recruit. We know ATM/Jimbo can recruit because he is putting a stellar class together now and was a great recruiter at FSU. Jeremy Pruitt was a great recruiter as an asst for FSU/UGA/Bama - can he do it as a HC?
Mullin is a good coach, but he will have to be more than that to win at the highest level at UF - I agree that UF is a very good program but not impressed w/ his recruiting so far and he doesn't seem to have any ace recruiting assistants under him.

You are entitled to your opinion...but u may not have understood my point ...he should have taken his issue up with the respective shitty poster..instead he took it upon himself to Place blame and take shots at an entire fanbase...otherwise...I would have agreed with him...

That's fair. It would also be fair to say that he was not necessarily calling us out as much as pointing out that other fan bases are getting tired of us. And, they are. Some of our posters have gone way over the top with trolling and arrogance. We, as Georgia fans don't notice it as much because they are saying good things about Georgia. But put yourself in other fan bases position and think how you would feel if they were making new threads every time their team moved up in a recruiting ranking. We would roll our eyes, too.
Tide Saint used to come on our board and was always respectful and brought excellent information with him concerning recruits we were going after. He isn't a troll. I just think he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

I would personally vote out about 30-40% of the UGA posters at this point before I'd vote out TS... Perhaps more. We've added some serious garbage since the uptick in performance, while some of the marginal posters have also taken a turn for the worse at times... Hopefully if we can have some sustained success, the shitposters will die back down and the marginals will be able to act like they've been there before...

TS is great. A true cut above most of the Bama contingent.
EVERY fan base that has a big population here has some trash posters. Periods of success on the field tend to bring out and retain more posters, inevitably leading to more trash.
Periods of failure on the field tend to cull all but the truly loyal (RIP Vol Board).
I do wish people would respect the no trolling on recruiting board rule though. Hell, I wouldn't mind being able to have better conversations on tRant, but that place is too far gone.

Absolutely. but that happens to everybody when their team is winning. You can't find many Auburn posters anymore. If they beat Alabama or us they will be all over the place.

That’s certainly fair. He’s off to a good start. Best transition class by ranking in UF history last year (and won Jacob Copeland over Bama, Malik Langham over Bama, Emory jones over Ohio state and Bama, Richard Gouraige over Clemson, etc.)
He needs to put together a few great classes in a row so we’re on even footing with UGA and Bama and really see how good of a coach Mullen truly is. I think we’re on our way to those elite classes, but it’s certainly fair for you to say you have to see it to believe it. I’m looking forward to this golden age of the Florida Georgia game that appears to be upon us

Part of our problem is we have generally been a pretty quiet bunch and talked reasonably. Now we have a bunch that has discovered trolling and they enjoy it. After awhile it will get old and they will stop. Most people stop once they realize nobody will take anything they say seriously.

Some also forget that there are a LOT of dawg fans on here by default since the old Dawgrant merger a few years ago. I think even with our new additions, the vast majority of our fans on here are reasonable. There are simply a lot of them, of which a few are trolls.
Also, we are in some ways "new money" in the nationally elite, and all of our regional rivals hate it and don't want it to be true, which leads to a high level of sensitivity.

I didn't stop coming over there due to anything someone said in case you were wondering. I just haven't had the desire to talk recruiting much this year. I moved across the country, started a new job and went to Korea for three months. I didn't want to start our recruiting thread this year after doing so since 2013, but I got talked into it in the end.
Maybe I went overboard this morning, but the OP rubbed me the wrong way. I just felt calling out Florida was unnecessary.
In the immortal words of Ricky Bobby: "Enjoy the win." Cine is a Dawg. Celebrate landing him, not who you beat for him.

Tx doesn't need any more db's they signed two five stars and 3 four stars last recruiting class. The db class is strong again this year but not as good as last year. Playing in the big twelve you will need db depth. Now if Texas could recruit some tailbacks like uga that would be nice but i dont see that happening. Uga is a tailback factory. Historically UT has been known for qb's and db's.
