4* Safety Darrell Mattison Flips from Michigan to Ole Miss

4* safety from the Chicago, Illinois area. Had been committed to Michigan but picked Ole Miss from a final 5 which included Michigan, Indiana, Penn State, and Illinois.

Who on the Ole Miss staff works that area of the country? Genuinely asking because his final 5 was all big 10 teams and ole miss.

Yep. 2nd commit from Northern Illinois / Chicago area this cycle. And pulled a 4* DT from Chicago last cycle too. Wes is clearly a good recruiter to be pulling talented kids out of the heart of Big 10 country.

For some reason Ole Miss has done a decent job getting recruiting wins the last decade or two in the Chicago area, biggest of course being Laquon Treadwell
