Raw but great tool set. Has one of the strongest arms in the country. Needs to work on accuracy, touch, and ball placement.

On3 wrote this following his Elite 11 performance:

quote:

+ Trever Jackson flashed one of the strongest arms in attendance. The Winter Park (Fla.) West Orange signal caller is one of the youngest and least experienced quarterbacks on hand, but showed some intriguing upside. Jackson was at his best in drill work on Day 1 and had a solid pro day on Day 2. He faltered a bit in 7-on-7, going 6 for 16 with one touchdown and one interception. There’s no question he has the upside but will need to continue gaining experience to develop.

I get that OM is dropping NIL, but they very likely could have a log Jam again at QB next year.

I was hoping Missouri would get him, we offered him after Kaelin flipped to Nebraska.

I think he won't start until he's a RS sophmore or junior but could be great.

I agree. He's not a day 1 P5 QB but I wouldn't be floored if he was a high draft pick one day. Per Cody Bellaire of On3 at the Elite 11:

Jackson was the winner of the Elite 11’s ‘Rail Shot Challenge.’ “You could hear the laces pop off his hands. “We looked at the data, and I think he threw the hardest ball in that entire group. He had the highest velocity or RPMs or MPH or whatever. You could hear it off the fingertips, which is something I’ve only really seen a couple of times in person. But that dude had it.

“He’s got smoke coming off the laces. He can really, really rip it.”

So the goal isn’t to have 4 scholarship qbs at one time? Sanders will be gone.

Hopefully he isn’t like Calzada (also has monkey strength throwing the ball) who struggled with touch and accuracy, always trying to throw bullets downfield.

Kid definitely has upside. Great pick up for Ole Miss.

They'll lose a couple of guys. It's just proactive recruiting.
