Moved up announcement date to Friday, originally scheduled for after season. State has 2 CBs currently (66%). Offers from all over the SEC.
Anyone have any clue?

The thinking in Hog country is that he's favoring the Hogs. He had plans to announce in December. Then that changed shortly after he visited the Hogs. He's said to be good friends with our other QB commit Connor Noland. Noland has been recruiting him pretty hard himself. But who knows???
If it's MSU, that'll be a good choice. Mullen is a great developer.

Steve Wiltfong, 247's Director Of Recruiting & Recruiting Insider, just posted on our State 247 MB "I get the sense sources around Starkville feel confident going into Friday's decision."
So we'll see.
We have our other QB target announcing on May 23. LINK

Arkansas 247 writer Otis Kirk just CB Bohannan to Mississippi State. This kid is a stud and super athletic.

Yeah, I think MSU is good choice outside the Hogs. With what Mullen has done with Dak and Fitz, you really can't blame him if he chooses MSU.

Mullen's offense is pretty much the perfect fit for this guy

Hopefully MSU for his sake and ours.

Jeez If we get him and Mayden that will be insane. Especially with Fitz and KT on campus already. QbU?

I can't see why the kid would pick Arkansas honestly. We already have Connor Noland committed and run a drop back pro style offense. Both of those things aren't in his favor if he were to come here. The smart money would be to go to State which runs an offense made for his skillset.

I wouldn't be surprised. Starkville is actually closer to where he's from than Fayetteville.

Only way he becomes a piggie is if he wants to be a line backer

I tend to agree. The kid is talented enough to play QB in the SEC but isn't a good fit for our current offense.

Isn't there a pretty good chance Noland goes to the MLB out of high school or am I thinking of someone else?

The great thing about him coming to State is he will redshirt and have 2-3 years to develop before he will be put into action. Having Dan Mullen as your coach playing in his offense is a great fit.

I mean Bielema made it work with Russell Wilson but it seems like he prefers pocket passers. I don't think he would necessarily be a bad fit here but state's offense is perfect for him.

Russell Wilson has an elite arm.
Sounds like Arky has backed off as a QB, looks like State.

Enos is running the show recruiting, offering and coaching QBs.
He's had some guys that can run/move around from his CMU days but they have always been a passer first.
Our coaches, with limited spots in 2018 (12 seniors), moved on after his most recent visit.

I don't think he redshirts. WE have no depth. If we sign both Jalen and Gerry one will redshirt one will not
