Thanks. I figured there was more to it than I’m seeing. Still not worried about it tbh. When he gets to UGA and sucks I’ll panic. It does bother me that it’s basically a wasted year for him progressing since his team is awful.

Biggest drop in Rivals updated rankings today? Carson Beck. Dropped 121 spots! Went from the 98 ranked player all the way down to 219! Yikes!

Beck had a tough year, I don't think the drop is unjustified. Doesn't have anything to do with how he may or may not turn out in college, but if they don't update the rankings based on results then they're an absolute farce anyway

Or it’s the most favorable to you. Rivals seems to be the best to me as they actually re-evaluate at certain points based on actual results.

Completely agree. Beck had a terrible year and needed to drop. Much deserved. 219 is still good but top 100 should be dominating high school competition

Haven't been keeping up with him. Has his lack of production fallen completely on him or does he not have the same weapons around him as he had last year? I know some of it is definitely him. Just wondering if there's other factors affecting his production.

Again, you're new to this. 247 composite is the only acceptable rankings on here. Everyone who uses rivals or espn gets laughed off of here.

I do think he lost a lot of players from his prior year team and they are not quite as good.

Trust me, UGA fans don't want to hear this excuse about any HS QB. If you can't weather the adversity in HS and elevate your team, not sure how you'll face it at the next level.

The one game I watched on ESPN, I was impressed with him. Tough kid that extended plays, almost always hit his receivers in the hands with a catchable ball that often got dropped.
I think he has a good shot at the QB job. He will have to compete with Mathis and who knows what will happen, if Fromm comes back. We will probably have additional QB competition.
I am more concerned with OC.

Gibbs could have flipped a long time ago. He lives with a family in Dalton and his “brother” and best friend who plays LB at Dalton and is the same age as Gibbs is a PWO at GT. See Geoff Collins knows what he is doing locking up that kind of stuff. Gibbs could have opened up things months ago but has remained committed to Tech. Nothing makes me think that’ll change.
