This has to be fake. The picture looks ridiculous.

He’s a very lanky kid, but apparently he still has a cannon for an arm and led his high school to the state championship as a sophomore.

Are we happy about this? Not a troll; I know nothing about him and whether or not there were better options available.

He’s a 26 kid so he’s only 17 at most but he was top 100 in the 26 class and from what I’ve read he’s an high iq kid who came in as a sophomore and won a state championship which isn’t easy to do. He has a strong arm and can make all the throws but what his coach raves the most about is his leadership and competitiveness. He raves that he comes in does all the work to be successful and leads by example.

Sounds like a lot of talent to work with...why is he coming in early, though?

This is a very good thing. He’s a stud. UM bought to most expensive recruit ever so this kid is free to find his next home. Elko and Klein welcome him with open arms.

Because he worked his arse off and he’s smart enough to graduate early.

I was just curious because I didn't know it was possible to skip a year of high school. I'm excited for it now.

Ryan Williams did it just this year.

Good tape, but doesn't seem to be Klein's type. Looks like a pro-style QB and Klein seems to like dual-threat guys.

If Klein is a good enough coach then he can mold his offense around the QB he has.

He's enrolling at TAMU next month at 16 years old. At 6'5"/180-190, he really needs some size before he sees the field. He'll obviously redshirt, then sit behind Marcel for at least a year. That should give the S&C staff the time to get him up to 220+.

Most honor students can graduate from high school a year early. Senior year is for AP classes and electives. LSU has a freshman QB who did the same thing, though frankly I wasn't wild about the idea. Think he would have been better served playing another year of high school ball and maturing physically.

The other side of that is letting him get used to the new playbook and speed of the college game in practice without risking injury.

He obviously still needs to grow into his body but he will never see meaningful playing time next year and if he does then it’s a lost season for us anyway. It would do him some good to get into a college S&C program

Considering that a longtime Qb commit flipped just before signing day this is a huge win.

He had an offer from Petrino. That tells me he has some talent.

He only flipped because Meatchicken paid $10.5M to flip Bryce Underwood from LSU.
