No, this is what they want. Its the reason Lodge didnt use an OV. We like to get them in January.

"Talked to Drew Richmond earlier tonight and he didn't want to do a full interview for a story so I'll just share a few things from our conversation. I thought it was interesting that he said he continues to really love his visits at Tennessee and feels very much at home in Knoxville.
He said he will likely be back in Knoxville for the Alabama game and will be down in Oxford next weekend when the Vols play Ole Miss.
In terms of official visits he mentioned he'd like to see the LSU-Alabama game as an official visit and he will visit Ohio State for the Michigan game and that will be an official visit as well. As for a Tennessee official visit it sounds like he will take one in January.
Just from our conversation, I think he still has a lot of interest in Tennessee and even though I think it's an uphill climb for Tennessee I think it's far from over."

Ehh -- I would be shocked if he ends up any where other than Oxford. Especially with how well OM is playing right now.

He said he decided to spend the weekend at Tennessee because he “just wanted to get up there and be around them.”
“I love those guys so much. I love Coach (Butch) Jones. I love (director of player personnel) Bob Welton, (offensive line coach Don) Mahoney. I love all those guys,”
There's even more glowing things he says.
“I’m taking all five visits, and I will be at Tennessee for the ‘Bama game,” he said. “And there’s a possibility I’ll come back up there a couple more times — for maybe the Kentucky game or Missouri. I just love being there. I mean, I’m committed to Ole Miss and stuff, but I love being up there with those guys.”
“I mean, anything can happen,” said Richmond, who expects Jones to attend his home game Friday night against St. Benedict at Auburndale High School of Cordova, Tenn. “Something wild can happen. Coach could get a new job — anything. I just don’t want to get put in a bad situation, so that’s why I’m taking all my visits.
“Like I said, anything can happen. I’m just being practical about it.”

How good a bump does 247 give him when he flips?

Interesting, I believe his exact quote yesterday was, "I'm still a Rebel."

I wonder how many croots he flipped to Ole Miss on his trip. He probably is going to the Bama game to deliver the bags of cash to them.

No idea but Kyle Phillips is trending back to the Big Orange now too.
Seriously though about Richmond, I'm still not too sure about our chances of flipping him. Those quotes sounded really good but at the end of the day he's still an Ole Miss commit from Memphis. I've seen us get burned too many times with Memphis recruits to really get too excited.

As long as Drew and Ugo stay rebs, Phillips is a Reb. Though yall giving Perry a scholly makes me a little nervous. Your mods were confident in Drew and shocked when Ugo committed. I tend to believe they over estimate their recruiting ability at least against OM. In the end, these kids are choosing between a school in the national title picture and will be right back in it again the following year vs a team who will not make a bowl game for the two years their new coach has taken over.

We're making a bowl game this year.

Im not sure where you got that from. They said all along that Ugo probably wouldn't be a take at the time, which he wasn't, and that has come back to bite Butch in the arse now that Ugo is trying to be a package deal with Phillips.
VQ mods are notorious for being a lot more grounded compared to most other team analysts imo. Hubbs felt we led for Richmond for the longest just like everyone else but he pretty much said Richmond was leaning to OM about a week before his announcement. Anyone that follows recruiting knows how quickly things can change

It was just an outside perspective created by your guy's reactions to those two commitments. I obviously do not ready VQ so I am ignorant to how they actually are.
