Definitely helps remove some of the sting from losing out on Robinson and Kennedy to Bama. This kid will be a stud. He could continue to climb as well if he has a good season.

The UNC 247 board is going full melt right now. I've never seen so many accusations thrown around about the SEC and Auburn cheating, not even on tRant. One of the comments was about how Auburn supposedly has "female escorts" for the recruits lmao but at the end of the day the trip to Pat Dye's cabin was a success and that's all that matters.

Wow...it’s unfathomable that an LB would go to Auburn over UNC. I love the we lost but they cheated whiners.

It's not even that, its a whole different level. They're spewing some serious shite. One of them said he hopes Simpson gets caught and is never allowed to play football again lmao

It’s sick. USC fans hope one of our 2019 signees has to go JUCO. At what point do you say these are 18 year old kids and wishing ill will on them is demented?

As hard as we pursued here it just wasn't in the cards. He didn't like our depth chart at all (can't say I blame him). Seems like we're in good enough shape for one of Flowe/Sewell with Whitehead as next on the board, but pretty sure we're only taking one at the position.

Sure UNC... Definitely an equivalent program with the clout to claim cheating was the difference here...

Flowe or Sewell? Sewell is Oregon and thought Flowe was all USC.

Seemingly our staff feels that both are in play based on insider comments. We shall see I suppose. Whitehead is a tier below but also really talented.

I certainly would entertain Georgia if I were them. Sewell loves Cristobal but all the kids are at different schools, so there isn’t really a legacy pipeline.

Flowe seems like one that should look elsewhere. I get the attraction to SC but it’s truly a dumpster fire.

UNC basketball fans run their mouth nonstop about how everybody cheats and it isn't fair. UNC basketball fans.

Don't wanna side track this thing too much more but apparently Sewell blew everyone away with his most recent workout performance in Athens... If we don't get him it's unlikely going to be due to lack of attention for him...

Back to Simpson and Auburn, isn't there another LB that is really high on you guys right now? In my head he was already committed but didn't see him on the list...

Webb, Tisdol, and Riley

Webb can be hard to read but seems like we are in strong contention. We’ve also made a big move with Wesley Steiner but Stanford is looming if he can get in.

Squares with what I've heard Fibonacci.

We're taking only one ILB and we're apparently in good shape with higher rated guys on our board.

I would have taken Simpson in a heartbeat if we could. I'm also bummed he's going to Auburn and not staying in state at UNC. I went to Chapel Hill my first two years of college and they could have really used a big in state commitment.

Cristobal has a distinct advantage with Sewell. Likewise, he and Mase Funa in the middle will be something the PAC hasn’t see since USC and their glory days.
