Yeah, not sure how the Lawson stuff got so blown up, the poster (was it you?) never said he was committed or was even about to be. Just that there was interest and he was a prospect the poster really wanted. FTR, OM absolutely did have a very legit shot with Carl, though. He loved AU from the jump, but the Rebs were probably co-#1 for a bit. It wasn't his dad that shut it down though, it was Carl himself. There was a situation that occurred that really pissed him off and even though he really liked Kiffin a lot, it turned him off to OM completely. No telling what would have happened without that incident. Now, Reb fans were way overconfident on getting him, but they absolutely were a major player in his recruitment. UT fans aren't off base either, Lawson hated Rodney, he was the reason UGA was never even in the race. When AU hired him I figured Carl was gone, but the fact he had given his commitment and his word meant more to him than the fact he would have a fat, lazy drunk for a coach for the next 3 years. So he stuck and AU fans are lucky that Carl is such a man of his word.

As for Swinney, great pickup and don't worry about him flipping to AU unless they lose Jovon or Kerryon or Roc leaves for some reason. Swinney eliminated UGA specifically because of our RB depth, he isn't flipping to somewhere he'll be sitting behind at least one of those guys for a couple of years. He is the total package at RB, going to be a beast for you guys.
