Why LB'er instead of RB? I looked at his HS stats; 2600 rushing yards in 24 games over 3 seasons, which is pretty good. 50 total tackles in 25 games, including 18 tackles in 6 games his senior season, which doesn't look like a lot of experience on defense.

He doesn’t have that wiggle necessary to be a good back in the SEC, and we have a decent amount of talent at that spot.
However, at LB we are paper thin and the guys we do have are all slow, he could come in and seriously compete for a starting spot day 1.

In fairness, I blame a lot of our LB problems on Thigpen. We all loved how he recruited that one year but after that Thigpen went downhill and wasn't even worth keeping around for the recruiting (he wasn't bothering anymore). As a position coach, he never developed anyone and every damn LB he brought in wound up busting.

Wasn't this kid a 5 star as a JR.

Was #1 overall on Rivals. Then he had hip surgery over the summer, then had an ankle injury in his first game of his senior season. Either didn't play after that or played very little.

I don't know how complex UT's scheme is, but I know at Clemson it is very rare for a true freshman LB to do much of anything. It's one of the tougher positions to learn in most defenses. It usually only happens if the kid has played the position at a bigger school for multiple years that ran a complex scheme and the kid is a total student of the game. Neither of these things appear to be the case with Crouch.
Would be a good pickup for yall, but I wouldn't expect him to come in and do much of anything his first year or two, outside of being a package guy like a blitzing third down backer.

Crouch is a good one. If you can pull him it would be a great get. Pruitt doing work for "T" this year.

Signing today per 247. Crystal balls rolling in for VOLS

Callahan just called Crouch to VOLS. He's pretty damn conservative too.

Oof. Hopefully he stays injury free for y’all

You don't often get a Clemson lean to change course. I don't think we have one time since Dabo has been there. Congrats.

I thought he was singing somewhere today, but was asking the school to keep it silent until he made his announcement in January. Is that still the case?

Be careful. Alabama fans get really touchy if you talk about players trending to your team.
Seriously, that's great. If you get him he will be really good. Seems you guys are looking at him as a LB? He seems to be a great size.

Callahan said it’s possible Crouch goes ahead and announces who he signs with. Because even if the school that signs him stays quiet, the other two probably wont

Lol you’re a bitch. Talking about Alabama fans in a thread about Crouch. Rent free.
Crouch should help the first few years because of his athleticism but if he gets developed he could be a beast as an upperclassman.

Yeah Pruitt has been trying to sell him on being a LB for a while now. Would definitely lessen the sting of whiffing on Pappoe and Trezman Marshall

He just looks the part. Looks like he could wreck people. He'll be a really good player for you guys.

Just upvoted you to prove I’m not a bitch like you. It’s actually sad you’re so proud to proclaim you’re not a troll. 30,000 serious posts on this board is depressing
