Help me out here - he seems to be a pretty low rated three star. I understand the coaches being excited about any commitment, but why should I as a regular fan be excited?

He is apparently one that did not do a lot of camps, which weights heavily into rankings. Physically he looks like a good recruit and he seems to have a good enough grasp of the position in general. Who knows what his ceiling is. He looks like just about every DB we ever recruited with Tubbs, so there's that

Looks like a flyer they're taking on what they believe could be a contributor. Sorta like Daniel Thomas last year. Seems like they wanted this guy a lot more, though.
Plays a mix of man and zone coverage. Above average size and speed. Decent instincts. All film looks good though

You don't have to be but personally I want the coaches to get whoever they like the best
