Recently picked up offers from a slew of SEC teams and today settled on Georgia. He is an absolute take even thought he's rated 3 star from what our mods are saying. We evaluated him and liked him.

Yeah I’ve read that he plays a little stiff but has bulked up almost 30lbs and can play inside our outside which we need. I seen Bama , UT, UGA, and Ole Miss all offered recently meaning he was doing well enough in camps. Not really concerned about his rating. Sounds like he will fit in and be a versatile lineman.

Does that push Q Fuller out of your class? Dunno how many DL y'all are looking at this year.

We are take big at least 4 D lineman. We gave Norton and now League. I know the staff really wants Travon Walker, so we would have a spot left for one more guy.

I would to see Derrick Hunter, but I think he stays home.

Y'all can have Hunter. lol

I like Fuller much more. Hopefully he likes what he sees at FNL.

Logue has a weird offer list on 247. A bunch of top flight SEC offers like Bama, UGA, UF, and UT. Then it is a bunch of directional schools.

Looks like Kirby beat everyone to the punch with this guy.

It's been mentioned a few other places, so this is not an original thought, but the best parallel for Logue is Christian Barmore in last year's class. Largely under the radar up until now... just had a pretty significant growth spurt/phase where he grew like 3 inches and 40+ pounds I think. His rating will likely be heavily dependent on how his senior season plays out, but his camp season (particularly the on-campus camps) has apparently been pretty lights out. Enough so to get committable offers to both Alabama and Georgia among others.

ETA: Bama offer may not be "committable" according to people who generally are pretty accurate. But the point remains... it's been a good camp season for him.

"Lebanon, Tenn. defensive end Zion Logue spent the month of June turning heads at college programs all across the Southeast. The 6-foot-6 280-pound prospect wowed every chance he got, garnering offers from Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and several others. But it was a trip to Athens midway through the month that truly turned his recruitment and led to his commit to Georgia on Sunday night.
Logue entered 2018 with no FBS offers and his rise to a national level recruit has been quite remarkable. He said he thinks the coaching staff at Georgia is the best equipped to help him keep growing at the next level. "

He definitely fits the Barmore mold as a fast riser who will end up a 4*

He's been dominant at every camp he's been to. If he has a good senior season, he'll jump in the rankings. Prototype DE. His size and athleticism reminds me of Jevon Kearse. Seriously.

I think his mind was made up the second Kirby offered him. We offered him 3 days later, but I don't think he was high on Tennessee at any time. He mentioned that he was upset that it took us so long to offer him, being an instate kid, don't think that's why he chose Georgia tho.

Could be a combination of things. It sounds like from his interview he wanted to get away from Lebanon. I don't know how far that is away from UT but that could just be him saying that. Either way, im liking the stuff you guys are saying about him. Sounds like a true late bloomer.

So a camp warrior at worst. fricking legend at even worse.

I remember Justin Fields going from a 3 star Penn State commit to #1 overall during camp season.

It's like 2 hours away from Knoxville, but I really think he just loved what he experienced on his Georgia visit. And nobody from Lebanon was really pushing him to stay in state, including his coach.

Lebanon isn't really a hotbed of football talent, but occasionally they produce a gem or 2.

Pretty much. Freakish size and athleticism don't always translate to great football, obviously. Case in point, Jonathan Kongbo, he's got linebacker speed , can bench press the gym, and looks like something out of a monster movie, but he's a fricking marshmallow.

But this kid was a football player before he had this recent growth spurt. Could turn into something terrifying.

Just curious, what kind of competition does Logue go up against? Higher classification against good teams or smaller rural schools?

They are 6A, but don't play a tough schedule. I don't think they had a single Top 100 TN HS opponent last year, except for Mt. Juliet, and they got smoked. I could be wrong tho.

Zion took his OV to Ole Miss this weekend. He’s a little concerned that UGA did not bother to check in on him when they went in-home with Dean last week
