He was out last year with a knee injury. This is why he is a 3 star. They played Hoover first game and he had 3 tds and 233 yards receiving.

Damn, takes the sting out of getting a three star

Meeks is a 6-foot-2 and 190-pound prospect, and listed as a 3-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is ranked the No. 60 player in Alabama, and the No. 222 wide receiver recruit in the 2021 class.

Top 60 in Alabama and top 225 WR nationwide.

Only in-state offer was South Alabama. That’s just odd for someone with a committable offer to Georgia. Especially with no camps or visits this year.

Monken is a developer of WR talent. And both of UGAs WR targets are 6’2 190 pound 3* guys. If Monken wants them maybe there is a reason

If he can put up those numbers on Hoover I'd say he's underrated but I'd like to see him do that vs some other schools.

Georgia offered after he shredded Hoover, as did Ole Miss. He apparently was injured for most of the past two seasons.

We’ll obviously see if he works out.

He would reel in nine catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns in his second game against Eufaula and had 114 receiving yards of his team's 156 passing yards in the game against Smiths Station last week.

Other games, per 247

Why does UGA like broken players?

Seems like the kid has potential. 2,164th ranked player in the country in 2017 was none other than LSU's Justin Jefferson. So rankings BE DAMNED.

If the kid stays healthy and continue to put up those type numbers, this thread will be revisited.

The staff obviously sees something with him. UGA had one of the best receiver hauls the last cycle. It can be considered one of the all time great hauls by UGA's standards.

They probably are not on the elite guys this class. They may land a solid 4 star WR later on and focus on the bigger names in 2022.

Good point. If only he has been a coach for more than 1 year.

He has been a very successful WR coach for the overwhelming majority of his coaching career. No resin why he can do that at UGA.

I sure hope so. I did read an article that said we felt he was way underrated. I hope they are right.
