This is why you cant hang your hat on some recruiting rankings sites. They are paid to promote the teams that line their pockets.

Certainly curious. don't think any site is doing a rerank right now 1/3 of the way through high school seasons

Georgia trolls (or maybe they are just actually that dumb) will be in shortly to tell us how this never happens.
I get dropping a few spots, with guys moving up and down someone is going to drop just by moving other people ahead. 35 spots seems deliberate.

i'm reading through twitter that Rivals didn't have him rated so 247 was ignoring them in the composite score. once they rated him (a low 4*), it kicked in on 247 and automatically dropped him. not sure if legit.

I never said it doesn't happen. I said it is not a huge thing and it happens to everybody. I also said it doesn't matter because the player is going to perform the same whether he is ranked #50 or #100. His ranking does not dictate his ability. I even gave examples of some Georgia players that dropped after committing....but no. It only happens to Tennessee and Florida. 
But sure. Y'all go crazy over a kids ranking.

They can't lie about the 5 stars because they are too easy to identify but everything else is fudged slightly.
You can predict the top teams by recruiting rankings but you can never predict surprise teams or new up and coming teams, or who the cindarella that year will be

What a stupid thread. In the latest On3 update, a UGA RB commit dropped 83 spots. These things happen. Stop whining. It has no impact to you or your school or the kid him self.

On3 has him at #33 overall and the 4th ranked QB with todays rankings update.

He could still and probably will eventually put it together, has all the tools and all the help in the world between UGA's staff, his dad, and Stafford.

The same thing happened with Carson Beck his senior year. Dropped like an anvil.

His stats are almost identical to his Sophomore and Junior stats my boy. As you can See 8 touchdowns to no interceptions and a close to 65pct completion percentage. Also, ignore the fact that there have been kids that have been giving 5 stars to kids like Hunter Johnson that threw 49 TDs in high school compared to 41 interceptions. So stats aren't everything my boy.
