If it was November I'd feel differently. There's way too long to go until ESD, plus he's from Kirby's hometown and his parents are Kirby's HS classmates from what I've read.

Maybe so, but it's pretty foolish to say you're not sweating it, implying there is no reasonable chance he signs with A&M. Makes you sound a little like a guy with his head in the sand.
