If I was his high school coach I would have advised against it. Simply because he is still more then a year away from signing papers and a bunch can change between now and December 2019. Committing is fine but possibly burning the bridge to your #2 is not well thought out.

Quay Walker could transfer and I guarantee you UT would take him in a heartbeat. No one takes these commit vids serious.

I doubt that bridge has been burned. Saban always says he takes nothing personally. He's had several coaches say things, but if he felt it would help his program to rehire them, he always ignored it. I assume Kirby has learned that. Who cares what a 17 yo kid says a year earlier, especially if he is a great player :-). The game is still on and I expect UGA and others will continue to recruit. He is still taking visits. UGA and others still have a shot.

So good Webb is going to move from the 2019 to 2020 class? Because he had him listed for 2020. That’s an automatic question mark about any “sources”.

The way he worded it it made it seem like there were grade issues. With Clay Webb.
