That's a good point. I don't have any inside info, but frequently hear that while we may be listed as an offer, nothing is real until a kid comes to a camp. I'm sure if the right kid wanted to commit without camping they wouldn't blink, but that's probably at least how Muschamp is trying to sell those types of offers.

Ohio State has thrown their hat in the ring for Rakestraw as well.

Yea when Phillips jumped ship on ESD OSU needed to get another corner. Not sure if they will go hard after this kid/others or if they will wait til 2021.

Rakestraw grew up an Alabama fan and loves our program per a recent interview. This would be a nice pickup. Plus his name is awesome.

That 3* rating is about to blow up.

Beast.

Not holding my breath but Missouri was in first and he wants to be a sports journalist.
It's still a 5% chance but I don't consider it an automatic loss like usual in a case like this.

Georgia has like 1 or 2 spots left. We would take Rakestraw, AS LONG AS somebody that's highly touted in a higher position of need doesn't want in the class. Any school does this stuff.
I'm not implying we are getting everyone, what I'm implying is that if DT is a much bigger need than DB and a dude pops up in that position we will take him instead.

You don't say? If we've got the space, I like our chances then...

ETA: This would also satisfy me greatly, making up for having to let go of previous all-name team candidate Rachad Wildgoose in the numbers crunch.

I had forgotten about Wildgoose. I looked him up and he apparently ended up at Wisconsin and with two years there seems to be getting some pretty good playing time.
Good for him.

By the report I read on 247 I get the idea Alabama leads. He says Bama is his dream school and where he wants to go. Still talks highly of Missouri and UGA, but I think he ends up at Bama....unless his visit here goes well.

The name sounds awesome. UGA had a guy that was pretty good quite a few years back with the same last name lol.....
