you would think if he was that much of a lock to a school
I am not reading back through this shitshow of a thread, but are you indicating that somewhere in Tyler's comments he indicated he was a UGA lock? I must have missed that part...

If I try and boil this discussion down into nuggets it's essentially:
a) he doesn't yet know where the frick he's going to go
b) some people don't seem to understand that a high school kid choosing his college is a big decision, and given the myriad of factors that he is considering it's even more complex than it would be for most
c) others decide to compound this by projecting their own thoughts as characterizations of the kid... drama queen, attention whore, etc... he very well *may* be those things, but no one in this thread has any fricking clue...
I tend to agree with something Kirby said during his presser following NSD, regarding kids that sign and/or commit early and their ability to come in and get after it quicker... as much as I respect the kid's desire to get the decision right, the longer this drags out for him, the less the focus is on getting ready to be successful wherever he ends up attending. I give the dawgs about a 10% chance on this one, and even in the event we land him, I have a feeling he doesn't end up contributing early... but once he starts, wherever that is I think he'll be lights out.

Surely you're not suggesting that I insinuated he was a lock to any school. On the contrary, I've been saying that he is as undecided as they come

Sounds like he's taking the SAT again in March. Could be waiting another month or two on this one.

Incorrect.
Robertson will in fact not visit Georgia. He will instead stay at home with his family.

Also this from an arrival in UGA Rivals 12 hours ago...an excerpt.
Don’t sleep on Georgia Tech, either.
While some have suggested that the Yellow Jackets, due to their offensive scheme, would not be a good fit for Robertson, Carlos Robertson says that’s not the case.
“They’re in it, man. Like I told you, they have a great record of academics, good Georgia weather for the track thing and it suits him personality wise,” he said. “Plus, Mom loves it there.”
Demetris speaks with Yellow Jackets head coach Paul Johnson with some frequency. Carlos explained why his mother is so enamored with Georgia Tech.
“We actually have a relative who went to Tech, her nephew. All the things that he’s been able to accomplish and put himself in a prime position to take care of himself,” Robertson said. “Now, he’s in his 40s going on 50 and he can probably take care of three different generations right now. That’s why mom is so much in love. She’s not a sports person, but she’s in love with that aspect of it.”

Also, the basketball thing is curious. I mean he had basketball on the weekend of GT visit and he made it. Funny they made it work to visit GT but can't seem to make it work for UGA...

Wouldn't that make him Carlos' first cousin?

Going to be hilarious when he ends up at Tech and gets stuck in the triple option for 4 years because mom doesn't care much about sports.

If he wants to go Tech for academics then I am fine with that.

Gonna be hilarious when he's done with football and can support three generations. DRob is a special kid and I think Carlos has his best interest in mind.
In that sane article Carlos said if it were a football decision it'd be hands down Alabama. But it's a 40 year decision so they must find a balance.
Plus, D. Thomas, Deandre Smelter, Stephen Hill and Darren Waller all waving at you from the NFL.

Because he couldn't have a successful career after football if he goes to UGA?

THe triple option is by far the shittiest offense to feature a reciever in college. It's not even debatable. The kid will be a certified gimmick in that offense. It's terrible
And the education you get at UGA is very good so good luck in the triple option if that's where he decides to go be a player for 4 years.

the average salary out if UGA is 60K, it's 100k+ for GT. Not saying you can't get a good life after UGA.
But DRobs family view is skewed to GT because of their relative who appears very successful and went to GT.
I don't argue anything other than I do think GT provides a much higher ceiling career wise than most UGA has. The only thing I'd give UGA is business. If you graduate from GT in engineering you are set. Graduate from UGA with business you are a dime a dozen and far from set.

One on one coverage every game is definitely an awful way to showcase a WR.
Darren Waller was barely a 3 star prospect and didn't have substantial PT until his senior year. I'm sure UGA fans remember him in one on one coverage in your endzone where your CB had no shot. He got drafted.
Further, you want to talk about blocking? GT probably has the best crop of blocking WRs which NFL teams value highly. WRs are asked to block a lot at GT but they get their shots to show their skills to in one on one coverage.
If the 3O is so shitty then why does GT have a pretty good number of GT 3O WRs in the NFL? The only 4* is D. Thomas. The rest were 3*. So it's not necessarily because their talent made up for it.
It's because the NFL scouts like WRs that can block and catch. Route trees can be learned a lot easier than blocking technique.

If you're implying entry level salaries, which it looks like you are, that's so unbelievably false.
