I don't imagine it'd be wasted. He could be an absolute showcase as a runner/slot type receiver. GT had lacked th talent at ABack for a guy that take the lid off the secondary over the middle. GT has just not found a runner with consistent pass catching ability. With Roberston's speed and pass catching ability he could have the potential to put up serious yards in this role. It's an easy throw for a QB too.
I don't think it would be much different than at UGA or ND in terms of how he would be used. He would start immediately on special teams as well.
He is a slot receiver in my eyes. He's not going to be your number one WR but he's a mismatch underneath.
GT could feature him in many ways on offense. Plus, having two WRs from GT in the Super Bowl earlier this week doesn't hurt reinforce that. The NFL always finds talent if it's there.

They would be vastly different. At UGA/ND/Stanford/Bama he would be a split end or a flanker - I don't see him as much of a slot guy.
He'd also learn actual route running as opposed to running to a space in the secondary or just go-routes at Tech.

If he were my son, I'd ask him what is more important, the name behind the degree or the major? If the name behind the degree is more important to him, then I'd advise him to go to Stanford and major in their easiest track to stay qualified. A football player who is struggling to get into a prestigious university probably won't succeed in one of the hardest majors within that university.
If the major is more important to him, then choose a school like Alabama that will let you both have football and the major that you want. It still won't be easy, but there are a few players on our team who have been able to balance both.

He would also learn to be an exceptional blocker at GT which is what NFL scouts like about GTs WRs. Routes can be taught much quicker than blocking and a players willingness to block and block effectively.

3. Darren Waller
4. Stephen Hill
They were all on a roster this year.

Some rare guys will manage it. But because of the way practice and workout schedules are put together for football, it really limits what classes athletes can take due to time constraints. And since engineering degrees generally require that you have to follow a tight sequence of classes, it's very difficult for an athlete to adhere to that sequence and graduate in the 4 or 5 years minimum needed for that degree. That's not even taking into account that the student in question had better be damn good at math and physics or else you're taking a huge eligibility risk. It's not impossible but it is very improbable
Eta: Lorenzo Carter and Jordan Jenkins came to UGA because we offer engineering as well. It's flaunted all over the recruiting trail but that's doesn't mean it is actually feasible

Andrew Luck did engineering at Stanford if my memory serves me. Obviously he's an outlier because he's awesome, but it's doable for the truly dedicated STUDENT-athletes.

Yeah noboyd said it literally was not capable of being done, but it's quite rare for the big time, stud athlete.
And something tells me andrew luck scored a bit higher on his SAT than DR did so the 2 situations aren't exactly comparable.

Its really simple. If he gets the test score, he's going to Stanford. If not, he's going to ND. Whoever gets the visit between UGA/Bama will be for a 3rd place finish. DRob only visited Tech because of his mom's wishes
