And yet...this is why I was asking and having an informing conversation earlier in this thread..and in fact..agreed it made sense..if that was Gus's ambition..
And I'm happy that Auburn's 2013 offense will not be the norm...it scares me..

But as someone mentioned, the key to that offense was a QB that makes a DL and LBers have to constantly be vigilant about the QB running by them. Take that out of the equation, and the defense becomes much better at defending the whole field.
Good pick up, though.

Doesnt make much sense why an elite receiver would pick Auburn these days.
Only someone mentally handicapped or who has only seen Gus' 2013 offense would say this

Only on the SEC Rant does Auburn picking up a 5 star WR become a bad thing for Auburn.

Ok, ok you are still the class of 2016 leaders in July, 2014. Feel better about yourself now?

If you saw what Auburn was able to do with Chris fricking Todd and his bum shoulder, you would be a bit afraid of how Gus adjusts his offense to his talent

Without a doubt..I agree...and Nick Marshall does that well.....

Why are we taking the QB being able to run out of the equation?

While not as good as NM, both JJ and SW can tuck it if they need to. With the stable of backs we are building up, the depth on the line and the genius of CGM, this team could be very dangerous for years to come

Perhaps...but being a realist...Your offense was operating at peak or near peak performance last year..I think Gus had all the right players in place..possibly..that is why he transitions to a more balanced offense this year...if in deed he does
I'm more concerned about the scheme..and the chance that you guys continue to rush a bazillion times a game...I pray that he allows NM the freedom to pass and pass often...
Can't have both...and spare me the "opening up passing lanes" talk... The whole Rant excluding the Auburn faithful hopes you guys abandon even 25% of those rushes...for more passes

Gus will go with whatever is working. I think he's at least proven that. He won't pass for the sake of passing if it isn't productive.

Or his 2011 offense.
#8 in the SEC in total offense and 100th nationally.

That team replaced 35 seniors, had Trotter/Moseley playing QB, and still won 8 games. Not nearly as bad as you're making it sound. All your post tells me is that the defenses were good in the SEC in 2011 or the offenses were really bad.

Count up the amount of starters right there for me. Did I mention who they were replaced with? Guys like AJ Greene, Clint Moseley, Barrett Trotter and John Sullen?

I know you're trolling, but at least try not to look like a total uneducated retard.

As a UGA fan, I remember the 2011 offense.

It was better than the 2012 version.
