I have no idea seeing as drawings haven't been released to the public, but I assume UGA isn't just going to donate $15-20M to the contractor out of the goodness of their hearts.

Isn't UGA's more than just an IPF. Don't they have to destroy some buildings and get the area ready for construction?

Maybe some office space as well or other things?

In 2020, I guess I'll talk about how y'all paid twice more than what it's worth for it. I think SC florida and tenn got their's done for around $10M-$15M, and y'all are spending $30M....

Dawgs get Hardman. You have a picture of CMR as your AV till NSD

Vols get Hardman. I will have Willie. Which I think you can agree would be much worse than Jones. Till NSD

Yes... It's also going to be a lot more than simply an IPF for football.

Correct.

Remains to be seen. But you can also bet that it's not going to look like some warehouse popped up on the side of the road overnight. Given it's location on a main thoroughfare of campus, it's going to be architecturally well done.

I'm surprised all 4 of them could fit in y'all's indoor practice facility.

I wasn't knocking Richt? I doubt CMR was the one that said "alright, let's all spread our legs really wide and cover our junk." But no, carry on being defensive over nothing.

I’m fairly certain Tennessee spent around $45 million. They set the bar for an IPF. I haven’t seen Florida’s renderings, but $10-15 is cheap as shite. If UGA is going to build an IPF, they are going to get it right the first time. I’ve seen Auburn and SCAR (no offense), both are underwhelming.

Mark Richt is such a nice guy that he didn't even ask E.J. to quit standing on his foot.

I don't know anything about Auburn's IPF. Our old one was functional, we had it for decades, it was great when they built it way back when and it was over 100 yards. The new one that will be finished this summer is going to be top tier. It's right beside the practice fields and close to the stadium.
link to some pic's and info on it. We're even making it LEED standard energy efficient.

All in, it's around $14.5M
https://southcarolina.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1625642

quote:

Sherman narrowly outbid seven other companies for the contract, with the base bids ranging from $11.31 million to $12.58 million.

Besides agreeing to build the indoor facility, Sherman will also install catwalks on the east and west side of the facility at a cost of $218,000.

USC's athletic Web site says the indoor facility will feature a regulation 100-yard turf football field along with restrooms, athletic training rooms and film towers.

When the school solicited bids for the project, it said the exterior of the indoor facility would be metal, translucent sandwich panels and masonry. In addition, the facility would be constructed to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Silver certification standards.

The total cost of the indoor facility project is $14.5 million, with the remaining $2.97 million budgeted for other costs associated with the project such as architects, engineers and contingencies.

Vols was just a 45 million dollar expansion around the already existing IPF with enhancements to itc.

We've had that since the 90's.
