I'm in the minority in that I don't really want AK. We've only got room for 1 RB this year and I'd rather we were going all out for Bryce Love or Johnny Frasier.

I do think Kamara was lied to a little, but most of what went on was his own fault. He should have realized after he hurt his knee that he would likely be redshirted anywhere he went. He didn't meet Burns until after he was enrolled an on campus, that was stupid. He should have had a relationship with his RB coach before he ever committed, not just Smart. Even if things were exactly like Alvin seems to think they were and it was all because he was lied to, he still acted like a whiny bitch about the whole situation and he should have just sacked up and realized he made a poor decision.

I'm am still glad he acted like he did some though, Kamara's opinion was a big part of why Carter eliminated Bama last year.

Have to agree with you. Kamara should've looked at the Bama depth chart and ran as far away from there as possible. Now, did they promise him something that made him feel that he would get to play and then not deliver? Neither you nor I know the answer to that. Hard to believe the kid's attitude went that far South just cause he got red shirted though. For the record, I hope he goes to Tennessee. He had his shot at UGA!

I don't think any of that really matters. The fact remains that, regardless of what he may have been promised during recruiting, he was not happy for what ever reason in Tuscaloosa. Reading other Bama guys posts on these boards, it seems that he made it known to recruits this past cycle that this was the case. Is there reason to believe that he wouldn't make it known to recruits in this cycle as well? That is all the point was. Granted it was made in jest, but I think that it bears pointing out that he could be a factor against Bama going forward on visits.

And for the record: Yes, I would love for Kamara to be at UGA next year as a signee. Why shouldn't UGA take the chance on castoffs from other SEC schools?! It works out quite well when they seem to do it.

I have no problem whatsoever with Kamara going to UGA. I hope he does well in every game except against Bama. I hope he has the game of his life against UT and Auburn.

I just have a problem with the "poor Kamara, Saban lied to him" bs. Kamara knew who was on the depth chart, and who he'd have to beat out to get playing time. He didn't, had an attitude which made his situation worse, and then quit. Kamara wasn't better/ready as a freshman than Yeldon, Drake, Henry, or Tenpenny. If he were, he would have seen the field. Knee scope or not.

I just hope he's learned his lesson, or it may be more of the same at UGA with all of that talent in the backfield.

You won't hear the "poor Kamara" bit from me. I think he was an idiot for believing whatever he was told.

I don't there are a ton in the UGA camp saying this. Most of them are like "Shoulda come to us out of high school. Now you're paying the price".

We've got talent there for sure, but there's opportunity for him to play. The situation with Bama and UGA are a little different at the position. Y'all had 4 really good, young RB's last year. We have 2 juniors and 2 freshman this year. The position will undoubtedly see some attrition between transfers and the draft. Attrition to the point where I think he'll get to see the field a good bit.

Quick little update for our Bammer/Barner brethren:

The fact that Terry Godwin's sister transferred to #UGA to play hoops should just about close the door on this 5-star's recruitment.

I still don't think he is a sure flip or anything, but i want to play devil's advocate:

Ask LSU about how getting Tony Brown's sister to run track there helped them secure his commitment. Then ask Iowa about Justin Hilliard.

Not sure about you, but where my siblings went to college mattered little in my choice on which college I attended.

The difference here is that Brown was never committed to LSU and Hilliard is still in play so I'm not sure what you're implying there?

Godwin has been committed to UGA since January, he has affirmed that he is still committed after visiting Bama and Auburn, and now his sister is also going to UGA (siblings may not influence a decision, but parents' desire to be able to visit both kids at the same school certainly can). Certainly not looking bad for UGA, no matter how many visits he takes.

The tweet implied that his sister being there seals the deal for uga, and I was arguing that I don't think a sibling attending a college closes the door to his recruitment.

Its definitely a positive for uga to have her there.

The only thing he has affirmed about his recruitment is that it will last until NSD

She transferred in from Butler Community College. Seems legit to me if a family wants both kids at the same school (and UGA's Womens Basketball program is hardly chopped liver).

Don't use Tony Brown as your reasoning behind why Godwin might flip.

A Bama booster paid off all his dads medical bills. Thats why yall got Brown, plain and simple. So unless Godwin has a sick family member with close to a half mil in medical bills yall are SOL. I hope some of you fricktards dont actually believe the stupidity that you spew.
