Troop and BVG at a Clay Chalkville practice. Who are they there to see?
WR DeAndre Woods. I also believe Muscle Shoals scrimmaged them today, so they were there to see Dee Liner as well if that's true

I read that on The Bunker earlier. Has any word come from the scrimmage? Also, how hard are we recruiting DeAndre Woods now? I guess Auburn leads at this time, but he has some good offers.

BMatt on Auburn's biggest recruiting remaining needs:
1) Wide Receiver
2) Safety
3) Quarterback
1) Wide Receiver
quote:
Auburn is off to a great start in wide receiver recruiting with a commitment from 4-star Earnest Robinson from Pinson Valley in Pinson, Ala., but still needs to add two or three more difference-makers to the class.
Auburn should benefit from a loaded in-state class that includes Robinson, 3-star DeAndre Woods from Clay-Chalkville and Tony Whitehead from Bryant in Cottondale. Four-star Jason Smith from McGill-Toolen in Mobile is being recruited as a quarterback but could play wide receiver or defensive back in college.
The Tigers’ top out-of-state target is Isaiah Jones from Milton (Fla.) High, who will likely choose between Auburn and Florida State. Other top targets include 4-star Jayron Kearse from South Fort Myers (Fla.) High, who is committed to Miami, 4-star James Quick from Trinity in Louisville, Ky., and 3-star Travis Johnson from Jesuit in Tampa, Fla.
2) Safety
quote:
New defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder wants to have size in the middle of his defense and that includes the safety position. Auburn’s top safety target is 4-star Vonn Bell from Ridgeland in Rossville, Ga., who is still considering a long list of schools.
Auburn would like to sign two, maybe three, safeties in the 2013 class. Some of its top targets include 4-star Cortez Leonard from Troup County in LaGrange, Ga., 4-star Marcell Harris from South Lake in Groveland, Fla., 4-star Leon McQuay III from Armwood in Seffner, Fla., 4-star Antonio Conner from South Panola in Batesville, Miss., and Tyshaun Clemmons from Gordon Central in Calhoun, Ga.
Bell is a hard-hitting safety.
The Auburn staff including new secondary coach Willie Martinez is scouting a number of safeties during the evaluation period this spring and should be adding some more top targets to its list over the next few weeks
3) Quarterback
quote:
With Auburn installing a new offense this spring, it’s important for new offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler to find a talented quarterback in this class to come in and compete with 2012 signees Zeke Pike and Jonathan Wallace as the future starter.
Loeffler has spent the evaluation period checking out all of his top targets in-person and is expected to hone in on a select few once he returns from the road at the end of next week.
Going into the evaluation period, Auburn’s top quarterback targets included 4-star Cooper Bateman from Cottonwood in Salt Lake City, Utah, 4-star Cody Thomas from Heritage in Colleyville, Texas, 4-star Jeremy Johnson from Carver in Montgomery, Ala., Ryan Buchanan from Jackson Prep in Flowood, Miss., 3-star Hayden Rettig from Cathedral in Los Angeles, Calif., 3-star Cord Sandberg from Manatee in Bradenton, Fla., and 3-star Max Staver from Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy

I bet they're having a pool party over at Trooper's house with the Auburn Tigerettes...

Who are we gonna end up with at Safety? Most of our top targets are looking like they are going elsewhere.

I guess I'll have to try to get him unbanned again during the next reinstatement thread on the OT...
