Longshot of course but just curious as to the general consensus of the board,
If we keep Liner and flip both Foster and OJ Howard, how much shite will be flipped by BamaNation? Would that be on par of the meltdown 2011 of Calloway/Cyrus

It would be better than Calloway/Kuoanasdnfajio, but I'm not counting on it happening.

New article on Auburn commit Trey Johnson from USC's Rivals site:
Should be free...
Should be free...
quote:
Lawrenceville (Ga.) four-star Trey Johnson committed to Auburn last fall, but the process continues for the nation's No. 1 ranked inside linebacker.
quote:
Central Gwinnett Head Coach Todd Wofford knows that all to well. Colleges from around country are already making their way to Central Gwinnett for May evaluations.
Wednesday, the Miami Hurricanes visited Central Gwinnett. Next week, USC assistant coach Tee Martin will be in Georgia to see Johnson. Although committed, Johnson is putting out the welcome mat and looking seriously into his college options.
"The two teams he definitely wants to see are Miami and USC because of their linebacker tradition," said Wofford. "They both send a lot of linebackers to the NFL recently and throughout their history.
"He committed to Auburn originally when Ted Roof was the defensive coordinator. Ted Roof graduated from Central Gwinnett, so that was Auburn's connection. When Coach Roof left, Trey saw the business side of things.
"Now Trey realizes he has to look at a school for its program, and not just a coach. He's still committed to Auburn, and does like the fact that they've hired an NFL defensive coordinator, but he also wants to make sure he looks at some traditionally powerful linebacker schools.
"Coach Roof is now the defensive coordinator at Penn State, so he's trying to get Trey to visit up there. Trey is looking at it, but I think with the weather and everything, he likes the schools whose climates are a little more in synch with what we have here in the South."
Johnson will experience Southern California sunshine sooner rather than later.
"He's going to get out there to USC this summer and visit," said Wofford. "More than likely, he'll probably officially visit too. After today, he'll probably set up an official with Miami as well."
While the seemingly perpetual 75-degree weather in Los Angeles is a draw for Johnson, football tradition and national prominence are greater factors in considering USC.
"USC signs guys from Florida, Georgia and different places every year," said Wofford. "That's intriguing to him. I think that's why kids go out to visit USC and that pretty much does it for them.
"The tradition of what they do and how they've done it is intriguing. The championships, the guys they've put into the NFL... I think Trey wants to see what it's all about."
In fact, Wofford hints that a great unofficial visit to USC could alter the recruiting process completely for Johnson.
"He's such a straight forward kid, he's not really into the recruiting process," said Wofford. "That's why he committed so early. He really didn't want to go through all of this.
"He wanted to find a fit and be done with it. Now he has to get out there and see what's best for his future. He doesn't really want to do it, but he has to.
"If USC does something that blows his mind, I don't know. He's a different kind of kid. I've had several players go on to the NFL, and things just don't blow Trey away like they would blow other kids away. If he likes something, he likes it and sticks with it."
As May evaluations get underway, most 2013 prospects get their first real taste of what being recruited is all about. For Johnson, April 15 was just another wave of college coaches coming to see him play.
"He got his first offer from Coach Roof and Auburn his sophomore year on signing day, so since then, it's been wave after wave," explained Wofford. "We had a couple of BCS level kids last year, and have good talent here, so that just comes with it.
"In the end, he'll be the biggest recruit we've had - at least he'll end up with the most accolades. It's starting up again, and schools are starting to come by. I've got coaches asking if they can get a visit, but right now it's Miami and USC.
"A lot of schools feel like they spit out good linebackers all of the time, but few schools do it like USC and Miami. They have that pedigree."

You really should learn by now not to respond to my stuff most of the time. I really hate it when you get caught in the nets too.

We wouldn't process one of the best linebackers in the class of 2013.

I didn't pay attention that it was you, bro. My bad. I do find it hilarious that there are Bama fans comparing Yeldon & Liner. Two totally different situations.
As for Foster, UGA fans are finally coming around. I don't belive many AU fans who truly follow recruiting expect to get him. He wants to graduate in Dec & be an EE at Bama. AHS allows him to do that, play for a good program, and be close to his kids (yes, I know).
It is easier for AU to recruit him when Trooper & Luper have kids at his school, in his ear, etc. That said, he grew up a Bama fan in a house full of Bama fans. He remains a Bama fan surrounded by a family of Bama fans. Hard for AU to pull a kid like that just like it's hard for Bama to pull a kid like that if roles reversed.

With Foster, before him transferring, there pretty much wasn't a chance that we could get him. Now, there is definitely a fighter's chance, but it is still is a long shot.
With Liner, Bama definitely has a shot still, but like with Foster, it is still a long shot at this point.

It is not a long shot by any means for Bama with Liner.

Yeah, I have said it already, Foster will not be an AU Tiger, and Liner could possibly flip to Bama for all I know (I may have said too much already). I really jut play around with the info that fly's around, and do not get too invested in the recruiting game.
I love to watch the progress of it, but until a kid signs it is just a kid saying he is committed to such and such school. With no real binding aspect to it other then a persons word.

Lots of jet sweeps, the majority of which wind up being the line of scrimmage?
