Kid said the same thing after his UF visit. LSU is where the kid will go IMO, unless his mom gets heavily involved
That mother pull is a big one though. She wants him closer to home and Bama/UF offer that. He is a stud.

but for the most part it's about finding guys who aren't worried about that stuff and want to win at any cost necessary; including sacrificing relationships and friendships for the greater good of being a champion.
You don't have to sacrifice friendships if you don't go to school with your friends from highschool. That's crazy.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with using the "buddy system". Georgia has done a great job recruiting in the big scheme of things and I think they are using it to their advantage.

However, Alabama doesn't need that strategy because they are looking for a different kind of player... The kind of player that respects the fact that they've earned the opportunity to play and compete for a position at a program that refuses to sacrifice it's evaluation standards for anything. The players that truly want to win a National Championship are so competitive that they understand a championship program can't settle for anything less than the best. Every now and then it works out like Julio/Lester, HCD/Dee Hart, but for the most part it's about finding guys who aren't worried about that stuff and want to win at any cost necessary; including sacrificing relationships and friendships for the greater good of being a champion.
buuuuuuuut you kept going with one of the greatest feats of self aggrandizement I have ever seen on TD. I'm actually kind of in awe and I offer you a hearty

Won our division and was beating LSU at half in Atlanta. Not bad for a team lacking solid depth pretty much everywhere

Didn't Brodie say something like this about Auburn after an Iron Bowl one year?

From TI:
Star DL Greg Gilmore of Hope Mills-Southview, NC tells TI 2012-06-16 18:11:08
TI that he had a "great time" at Alabama participating in the Tide's OL/DL camp. Alabama has made a strong move into Gilmore's top four. Gilmore says the four favs right now are Alabama, LSU, Clemson and Florida. Gilmore is a very impressive 6-4, 290. LSU has been considered the leader, but keep an eye on the Tide here.
-Vienna-Dooly Co, GA DL Montravius Adams did make it to Tuscaloosa today. The 6-4 Adams checked in at 296 pounds. Sources say that Adams has had a good experience. Clemson, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn and others are involved.
--Auburn DL commit Dee Liner (6-3, 270) was in town the early part of Saturday.
--2014 OL Akeeem Cooperwood (6-7, 330) of Knoxville-Fulton, TN is expected to be top prospect in his class. Cooperwood tells TI that he had "a great visit, camp and the way everything was organized and run at the camp was impressive." Cooperwood spent time with Tide OL DJ Fluker.
--In the 7 on 7 camp, one of the top 2014 headturners was LB Deon Drake (5-11, 217) of Detroit-Cass Tech, Michigan. Drake says he had a "real good time and learned a lot" at the camp. "The coaches taught me a lot," says Drake, who already has offers Notre Dame, Pitt and Syracuse. Drake garnered a lot of attention from Nick Saban, DC Kirby Smart and Bobby Williams, who recruits the Detroit area.
--DL DeMarcus Walker (6-3, 286) of Jacksonville-Sandalwood, FL made his visit as expected. Walker departed yesterday. He's expected to return to Tuscaloosa as early as next weekend.

It is pompous and overwhelmingly prideful, that's for sure. But is it inaccurate? You tell me.
