I don't think Bucc had any reason to think it was going to happen beyond either a) messing with people or b) what someone else said on another board.
Foster said two days ago he was "100% Bama", so a recommit two days later would make no sense.
I spoke to someone last week that said the staff knows Foster is having fun with the process but that he continually reassures them he's solid. TIFWIW, but if Foster were to decom any time soon it would be a shock to the Bama staff.

Per JHD, Foster hasn't publicly opened things up and probably won't for a while (I'm thinking at least until the end of the summer, if at all), though his constantly visiting Auburn and UGA is pretty much as close to being open as can be without decomitting
