Here is his highlights... looks like a WR playing DB to me...

Agreed, he clearly wasn't asked to do much as a corner in this highlight reel. Basic routes and terrible throws, LOL...

Ill say this about Cook he has great discipline. He doesnt bite on fakes at all and always plays his position but his film doesnt show you much honestly. I know I keep sayint this but him being in zone for 90 percent of the film probably doesnt help him any because coaches want to see if you can run with someone. Hell go and get Lamar Robbins or Rashard Robinson instead. JMO

He is getting rave reviews from the Bama camp, and he supposedly looked great matched up against Cooper. He's a baller...

Im not saying that he isnt good but just by going off the little film that ive saw I just dont get why everybody wants him soo bad thats all im saying. Now if he is good enough to get a offer and shows out at camp im all for it.

OT you know what I like about CNS is that he will offer a kid before any other major school will. i mean he has got a lot of kids exposed.

It’s no secret the University of Alabama is looking for another quarterback in 2013. The UA coaching staff is hosting signal-callers from all over the country at their camp this week, but Georgia native Parker McLeod feels that he stood out among the group.

“I thought it went really well,” McLeod said. “I took a lot of reps, but I thought I did really well. Coach [Doug] Nussmeier said I did outstanding, so I felt pretty confident about how I did.”

McLeod earned an offer from the Crimson Tide last month, but he wanted to attend Alabama’s camp, throw in front of Nick Saban and show the UA head coach what he could do. Saban came away impressed with the Walton High School signal-caller.

“I got a chance to talk to Coach Saban in between practices, and he said he really likes what they saw of me in the morning session and that he’d be in contact with me by the end of the week to let me know where I am.”

Before the camp, McLeod had Alabama and Oklahoma State at the top of his list, but the Cowboys landed a commitment from quarterback Luke Del Rio last week. Now, Alabama stands alone at the top.

“I’m really high on Alabama right now,” McLeod said. “I’m just waiting to see where they’re at with me and see how that goes. There are some other schools talking to me right now, but I think I’m going to see what Alabama has to say and go from there.

“This was my third time there, so I’ve seen most of the town and all of the facilities. Obviously, I really like Tuscaloosa. The facilities are awesome. I really love the program, how it’s run and Coach Saban’s organization of everything.

“I think this visit, I really got a chance to get to know the staff pretty well and Coach Nussmeier. I really liked working with him. I just like everything about Alabama.”

ESPN 150 quarterback Cooper Bateman, an Alabama commitment, also threw at the Tide’s camp on Monday along with McLeod and others. At the end of the day, McLeod was impressed with Bateman but believes he’s good enough to compete against him.

“He’s a great quarterback,” McLeod said. “I can definitely see why they took him, but he’s somebody that I can compete against. I’m not going to back down if I were to go there. If I can compete against him, I can compete against anyone.”

ESPN 150 quarterback Riley Ferguson is also expected to be in Tuscaloosa this week, towards the latter half of the camp, to throw in front of the coaches.

Funny to see the change of a recruits tune when the number 1 school they recently had takes a commit from there same position. I actually like McLeod though his film seems good to me. I would rather have Dobbs though if we could get him.

Thanks. I just think those two are the best available options on the board, unless we somehow pull Vernon Hargreaves out of thin air.
