Sounds like O'Korn is our if we want him. Wonder if he'd be willing to greyshirt.
Not sure I would've phrased it that way

Shaun McGee traveled to Tuscaloosa with a goal in mind and he did not leave before achieving that goal.
quote:
"I went to Alabama for their camp wanting an offer and I got it today," Shaun McGee told Scout as he left Tuscaloosa. "I talked to Coach Nick Saban and Coach Kirby Smart before I left and both told me I have an offer from them."
The offer means a lot to the 6-foot-3, 235 pound prospect out of Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood.
"It is not all about the school itself, but because I came here set on getting the offer. This was a business trip for me and I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish."
McGee has over 20 scholarship offers and the Tide have moved up to the top.
"They have to be high on my list and I would put them at the top now," he said. "They have a great campus, great facilities, I enjoyed hanging around the players today, and the coaches are great. I really like the overall environment there."
Although UA is at the top of his list, McGee is not ready to pull the trigger yet.
"I am not in a rush to make a decision. I am going to Florida next week with the same goal in mind. I plan to commit late in the summer, but I am not that close right now."
Alabama has put themselves into position to be a strong contender though.
"Coach Saban and Coach Smart both told me that they want me at Alabama, so that stood out to me. They have a great program and they win a lot there.
"They want me as an inside linebacker, so that is different from what I am used to playing, but they feel I could be very good there for them."
Stay tuned to Scout for the latest on the no. 50 defensive end in the country.

The University of Alabama continues with summer camp in Tuscaloosa with several athletes garnering attention. This is a quick look at some of the top players working out with the Tide coaching staff.
quote:
Leonard Fournette, running back from St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, La., is camping at Alabama. He will rank as one of the premier prospects in the country at his position in the class of 2014. He reports more than 100 schoalrship offers from across the country including early favorites Alabama and LSU. He also camped in Tuscaloosa last year.
Jonathan Cook, cornerback from Spanish Fort High School in Ala., has received a lot of interest from Alabama this spring. He is hoping to earn an offer from the Tide with a strong performance. He is in Tuscaloosa with teammate, Deon Johnson, who is already committed to Alabama.
Kendell Beckwith, four-star defensive end from East Feliciana High School in Clinton, La., arrived on campus Monday. Beckwith was one of the top performers of the day at inside linebacker and the ‘Jack’ position. Beckwith has Alabama in his top two along with LSU.
Jaevon Walton, linebacker from Tuscaloosa Academy, is John Copeland’s stepson. The 6-foot-1, 225-pound athlete is receiving a lot of attention from the Tide staff who is performing very well.
Kevin Crosby, linebacker from Bamberg-Ehrhardt, S.C., is one of the top overall prospects on campus this week. Crosby has more than 30 schoalrship offers including one from Alabama. He is recruited by several schools as an athlete. He is working out in Tuscaloosa at linebacker and will stay at the Capstone until Wednesday. This is the second year in a row Crosby has stayed for the entire camp.
Parker McLeod, three-star quarterback from Walton High School in Marietta, Ga., is receiving a lot of attention from the coaching staff. McLeod plans to make his college decision this month. Alabama and Oklahoma State are the top two schools.
Chequan Burkett, safety from Jeff Davis High School in Montgomery, Ala., is a rising prospect who will camp at Alabama on Tuesday. Burkett is close to double digit offers. Clemson, Vanderbilt and Southern Miss have recently offered him.

Who was the last good player to come out of the Gump? Marlon Davis?

I think passing on Crayton is a mistake, but Saban gets paid millions and I get paid nothing for a reason. Oh well.

Wait, you don't get paid Millions? Stay of the OT, chump.

Marlon Davis the OG from a few years ago? he wasnt from the gump.
Prattville gets most of the good players from the gump these days. Carver has a decent program now. I was surprised to see JD has players getting a look now.

My annual salary is in the high six figures, but I make good investments. Not quite OT baller status, but I'm getting there.

This kind of baffles me. It seems like only a decade or 2 ago that montgomery high school football was right up there with birmingham and the bay area. JD used to be a powerhouse as did R.E Lee
Seems like basketball has taken center stage with the best athletes in montgomery nowadays

NOBODY wants there kid to go to public school in montgomery. its a big problem there. it even prevents a lot of new businesses from moving to montgomery because their employees dont want to send their kids to public schools in the gump and they dont want to bust out the thousands each year to send their kids to private schools.
