TT, I doubt Alabama was looking at him as a true TE. I think they see him more in the light of theBrent Calloway type of HB. Maybe not at Brent's level but a frame and skill set they could work with.

Well Pagan was 275 and Square just got to like 288 and hes a senior... so I think if we can get him around 275-285 and keeps his speed he would be a perfect Weakside DE...

Staff thinks Nkemdiche can and will play jack at 300, it would blow people away.

Nkemdiche is much taller and longer than Upshaw so he shouldnt worry too much about Upshaw.

His interview just made it sound like he wanted to play DE and not Jack... I think it would be smarter to pitch him both. That way the staff can decipher which position he needs and wants to play. Not just tell him Jack and that's it.

Its funny how people put things in these kids head. D. Ware, Aldon Smith. Those guys play basically the same thing as Upshaw. SMH.

I would love to hear the pitch some rival school was giving Nkemdiche about Upshaw's "draft status".
